If there's no cold sores, you are all good in regard to oral herpes. You probably won't catch anything else from a bj, unless she bites or cuts you and you mix fluids.

Saliva is certainly much less likely to carry an std, but it does carry some, like Hepatitis B. Also, there is always a chance to get a small amount of blood or cells from a mouth sore mixed in with her saliva.

You can't get tested for herpes (or HPV). If she has it, I have no doubt she would lie if you asked her. Would that be something you'd want to broadcast?

I wish you were wrong, but you're not. It's called 'asymptomatic viral shedding.' Transmission of herpes is possible without a sore present, but I think at least that it accounts for a minority of virus transmission of HSV1. Many more cells are shed from an active sore.

Life is full of risks. That condom only gives you about 50% protection against HSV and HPV, so don't be lulled into thinking you are completely safe.
