My friend just moved into her new apartment about 3 weeks ago, and ever since then, every night we've been getting plastered and just having fun. So within those 3 weeks, we were probably only sober about 4 of those nights.
How dangerous is this? I probably only drink about 10 beers per night. But will this mess my liver up soon? Or is it only longterm?

Bad for the liver. It works overtime. You're young, you can take it. But do this for long enough & you'll get serious problems.

I'll stop now before it gets a habit. There's no advantage to drinking alcohol more than once or twice a week.

It's bad for your liver, it kills braincells, it messes up your metabolism and it makes you fat. It's a case of short term pleasure with long term consequences.

Personally, I don't drink alcohol at all and I've seen cool and attractive people turn into incompetent and disgusting slobs through binge drinking.

I don't mean to preach, but I believe the mind and body is worth treating with respect and definitely not worth ruining over something that makes you feel good (and often bad) for a short time.

I've done it this last 12 months i mean hardcore before than I used to binge drink but not to the extent I have been and still am doing, I havn't hit the gym properly in that time hardly at all because I felt ****. I started going again but it only lasted one week. While I was at uni this year I was doing it for months at a time like 5-6 times a week. Then I'd have a week off to save money and then do it again. I've cut down to 1 day a week now though but it was difficult for me. I'm trying to cut it out completely. Its stupid to think that I spent about £4-5k possibly more on alcohol in 12 months. When I only get £7-8k in that time through student loans and grants and money I received from work and my parents. I put on 1 and half stone of fat in that time. I didnt think i Looked that bad until I recorded myself on a drunken night out and I just looked fat around the middle. Binge drinking = middle obesity.

Its funny you can clearly see my top 4 stomach muscles then it just goes to blubber around my waste. I've dropped a 7lbs since i've been back from university though and cut down the drink

I know it ain't funny but before I cut down alot, my friends were making bets that i'd be dead before i'm 30.

I was a frequent binge drinker from ages 15-30. Now just a few beers sends me into alcoholic hepatitis, which is the first stage of liver failure. The number of drinks I have is equal to the number of days I am then hung over afterward. The last time I drank, I had 5 beers on a Saturday night, and I was too sick to go to school on Tuesday. btw, modern medicine's treatment for liver failure is, drum roll please, healthy diet and bed rest.

In my experience, one can only get sh!tfaced so many times in a lifetime. You can use up all your chances when young, but then later in life you'll be like me, drinking Red Bull at the bar on a Saturday night.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

Well unlike the other a$$-hat responses in this thread, I'm going to be a good person and tell you what you want to hear so you can justify your actions.

You're only young once so enjoy it. If you skip out on getting drunk now, you'll only regret it later in your life. All your friends are doing it, so it's perfectly fine for you to do it too. You wouldn't want to be seen as..... *gulp*...... different.

You only live once, so you might as well get sh1t faced before it's too late.

kinda stupid to get drunk so often man. I drink alcohol myself, but try using a little responsibility and common sense. Every night? Come on.

Besides, if you're drinking every night, that doesn't leave you any alcohol-free periods to build muscle effectively.

Totally agree look at what happened to Britney Spears and Tara Reid... they're all nappy headed fatties now, their legs are discusting. Anyway if you drink wine 1-2 cup a day, it's actually GOOD FOR YOUR BODY... still I the taste of wine. Drinking everyday will end up in liver failure or alcohol poisioning. Even if you hydrate yourself... your liver won't be able to keep up and you'll have a nasty hangover/withdrawl waiting for you. IMO alcohol is not worth it... rather do weed and be functional the next day. But that's getting old too... guess I'll just stick to good sex. :cheer:

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Plus if you arent too worried about your liver think of all the carbs. Beer belly is not attractive.
