Hi I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything so figured I would put this up. I was wondering what people considered the best tasting protein supp. out their nowadays?

I have just resumed lifting ~4 months ago after a four year hiatus. Since I started I have been using muscle milk. The stuff tastes freaking phenomenal. I had lifted for 5 years before my break and back then I was using designer whey, which was the newest thing. I want to keep the muscle milk as a bedtime shake and supplement a good whey protein for the day and post workout. I want to find a whey protein that tastes good, is affordable and mixes well. Just looking for some suggestions?

thanks.

I haven't tried muscle milk, but from what I've tried, Designer Whey makes the best tasting protein shakes (with milk of course). Better than a freakin' fatfilled McDonalds milkshake!

as a warning, even thou you may think protein is great, do not take too much because it has negative sideffects in large quantitys, im not just talking about supplemnts, even too much meat, is bad because protein reduces the bodys absorbtion of crucial minreals such as calcium, and it can there for weaken your bones.

Best for me currently is: Nutrisport 90+ Protein Choc/Straw or Banana.

WORST: EAS Myopro Choclate - that stuff is rank AND expensive!

Thanks for the suggestions and that link. Although with that many different opinions on that forum I'm a little more confused now. I think I will pick up some designer since I know it was good.

Syntrax is great tasting, but freaking expensive.

Of course, it's not like your sipping on the damn thing. Get the best (working) protein and choke it down. Even the worst doesn't taste that bad.

I think that protein supplements work the same unless from a completely unknown brand in which case I will not buy them. That is why I started this thread, most are reputable given the large market, but not all taste the same. the last time I was at my parents my dad had a soy isolate that tasted like garbage and I ended up tossing half of it down the drain. What I wanted was opinions on what tasted the best out of the proteins to choose from. Because there is a difference and i dont want to torture myself like I was on fear factor but rather would enjoy what i was drinking twice a day. I cant afford to experiment much either so figured this forum could give me a real opinion.
