Why do you need a belt, how long have you been lifting, do you really need a belt?
Every one in the gym walks around with a belt on, including to go to the water fountain, people seem to have forgotten the real reason for wearing a belt, now it is just a fashion accessory.
The serious lifter uses the belt ONLY for dead lift and squat, sub-maximum or maximum lifts.
The same with a wrist strap, only after you have mastered the perfect dead lift, should you try on the straps.
Good Luck.

Spes never mentioned a belt, he is talking about wrist wraps that wrap around the bar to help your grip when you're lifting heavy.

Flyer: A belt helps out your lower back when doing heavy squats, DL's, cleans etc. It helps you keep a tight straight back so you don't arch out and end up with a herniated disc.

Spes: Let us know how the grips work the right way around. Hopefully you'll shatter your PR.

Sorry guys my mistake Ref : Belts.

Sorry guys my mistake Ref : Belts.
The best straps that I have used are made from cotton, look into the Power lifting Mags. The leather ones with the metal bits are crap, as they keep sliding.
Learn how to put on the straps the proper way, so your pulls are always even.
Good Luck.
