Best preacher curls-Standing or Sitting?

I need to make or buy a preacher curl bench. I can't do normal curls anymore because I just had surgery for a broken back 10 weeks ago.

Would standing preacher curls be easier on the lower back than sitting? Essentially I need to remove as much stress from the lower back as possible.

I can weld together my own custom-built device, or buy if one is available that suits the purpose.

Right... chins are out of the question for now, but I do have a bar in my doorway waiting for my return.

Anyone else...?

I've tried, and no matter how I've tweaked my form, my back can't take it. Not even with an empty bar, let alone with weights.

I might be able to get away with concentration curls... I'll try it.

What happened to your back? Broken bones or disc issues?
