Today I was surfing youtube for benching videos and happened across this one:

Great scot! The fault lies mostly with the guy on the bench because he should have had a better grip on the bar. You can't always count on spotters to know what they're doing or to be paying attention. :nervous: Interestingly, I've decided to do all of my fbbp at the Power rack now, I got the idea after doing Power rack lockouts for bench press last week. Doing the fbbp on the Power rack makes the workouts a lot safer for me whether or not I have a spotter. Anyway, what happened to that dude in the video is some crazy stuff. When asking for a spot, make sure that it's someone who knows his way around a gym preferably a staffer/trainer.
