beginner needing a starting point

Hello
Ill get straight to the point
I'm 6'1
260ish in weight.
I carry my weight extremely well I can pass for 225ish..
Asking peoples opinion they all say I don't need to lose weight just tone up.
Fine I don't want to really be skinny anyways..

But I would like some muscle definition..
But I never worked out seriously before.
I just got a gym membership..
Where do I begin?

you're fat. muscle definition will come when you add muscle and remove fat. read stickies, ask questions. be prepared for a variety of opinions, some of them informed.
