The whole "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is not a completely true concept.

All humans are attracted to facial balance and symmetry. It is "hard-wired" into our brains.

The whole "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" concept only applies to men and women who are not strikingly pretty/handsome.

E.G. No person on this earth would call Catherine Zeta Jones, Monica Belucci or Natalie Portman average or below average looking. Just like no women on this earth would call George Clooney or Paul Walker average or below average looking.

Of course, there are certain women who are average or above average (but don't have strikingly pretty features) that we might find beautiful in our own little way. (E.g. Her unique facial structure, her nose, large eyes etc.)

So, if a woman is so attractive that she can pass for a Victoria's Secret Model, you can 100% guarantee EVERY other guy is drooling over her.

"This is the best that I could get" - meaning we choose our partners mostly based on our own limitations.

for example , i agree universal beauty does exist.


but for example, if you've got blonde, eastern european looks, that may appeal more to people who are from that region than a girl from india who may like a guy thats got black hair and darker complexion.

but if a guy is universally beautiful he will be beautiful for all girls.

but if its not universally, but still looks good, he'll appeal those who understand and appreciate his looks, namely girls that looks like him...or those who care about other things than looks.

There are two universal rules of physical attraction regardless of cultural relativity or philosophical rhetoric:

1. Symmetry
2. The Golden Ratio (1.618:1)

The closer you adhere, the greater your appeal. Those are the only two aspects of attraction which are objective, of course everything else is subjective.

However, be that said, as you get older your sense of attraction refines, shrinks, narrows. Your eyes become much more selective. I can easily be in a bar surrounded by 40 qualifiedly beautiful women, but yet be strikingly attracted to maybe only one or two, whilst when I was much younger I was attracted to 80-90% of girls.

That's so true, most of Victoria Secret models are European. IMO they are 1000 times better looking than celebrities. Alessandra Ambrosio is SO HOT, now that's is a 11/10. I bet she looks just as good without make up on.

I agree and existence of a 10 is probably impossible to prove. Since there will be so many different opinions on the girl. So the lesson here is don't assign numerical numbers on chicks and just go for the girl if you think she's hot. I think guys should have two categories non-fvckable and fvcakble.

Yes I would, she's not super mannish looking, only mildly, and definitely not as much as others, but for one she's famous, and two, I don't have to stare at her face. I don't find her ugly but there's nothing that really appeals to me about her either.

She reminds me of a girl in one of my classes with a mildly strong jaw. I don't find her sexually attractive and I wouldn't go for her but if she offered I wouldn't be disgusted either.
