I was just reading yet another post about some random chick who approached a guy in a club, and off the bat, just flat out asked him to buy her a drink. Thankfully, he had the good sense to laugh in her face....but it got me thinking....I know it's easier for girls, because they're not the ones facing rejection...they're typically the ones being approached. But more guys need to learn to be just like this girl. It takes a lot of balls to walk up to a total stranger, and expect him to drop $8 on a drink, just for the chance to talk to you for 5 minutes. Why aren't guys the same way with asking for numbers? Walk up to her, and EXPECT it.

Do you think it's a good idea to share my policy of not buying girls drinks with other girls? I was in the car last night and the girls were talking about guys buying them drinks and I thought about chiming in, but I held back.

I tend not to talk about it, because one time I did, everyone slammed me for being "mean" and "cheap".

If you're gonna talk about it, word it well, and don't let anyone interrupt until you're done explaining your entire philosophy, otherwise you'll get slammed.

golddiggers have no class. rule of thumb: have the confidence of a golddiggers, but not the lack of class.

I generally would'nt tell a group of girls that I didn't know about my philosophy of buying drinks. I would tell them that I only buy my friends (girls or guys) drinks. But why should you spend your money on someone you don't know?
I use this line of reasoning whenever the subject comes up: If it takes you buying a girl a drink to talk to you, you are basically turning the girl into a prostitute. If you buy her a new pair of shoes would she kiss you? and next you buy her a complete outfit and you get laid? etc.

Hi.

Girls sometimes ask me if I want to buy them a drink.

I ALWAYS reply with, "No sorry, I dont buy girls drinks, but you can buy me one."

Sometimes I get one, othertimes the girls are so stunned they have no clue what to say next, then I usually leave them with something like, Oh sorry I hear my girlfriend calling, catch you later.

This makes them follow me around and asking where my girlfriend is.

If I was up your ass you'd know
I know girls that will walk up to the loneliest looking guy in the bar, ask them to buy them a drink (which they always do) and then walk off. They talk about this **** to, and think its funny. If you are going to buy drinks for a girl, leave your c@ck at home cuz you aren't going to get to use it.

This ain't the 50's! NO MAN SHOULD EVER FEEL OBLIGATED TO BUY A GIRL A DRINK! Especially if she's some one you just met. If you want to buy your steady girl a drink or are feeling generous and want to buy a round for your buds, feel free. But for those chicks that come up all sparklie eyed and grinning? Tell them to get a job & buy their own drinks. Don't they see how desperate it makes them sound?
