I got a really bad heel injury about 6 months ago and it knocked me out of my workout routine. Heel is fine now, but i can't really get into working out again =(

So my body starting to lose it's "form" is bad bad... but worse - I've been slowly seeing a decrease in my sexual ability.

First, my ability to go more than once (one, right after the other) dissapeared... I attributed it to old age... b

ut now i think it has more to do with not working out anymore.... but today happened and...

Now, im having a hard time even staying up for the 1st round!!!!!!!

A girl just now left my house a very dissapointed FB!!!

other possibilities:
- I was on about 15 supplement for 2 years. some of which may have had herbs in them that increased sexual performance. I stopped taking these when i stopped working out.
- i have also gained about 20 lbs (160-180) of mostly fat; especially this holiday season!
- im having issues with not even having desire to have sex. which may be linked to my desire to settle down with a girlfriend and not just bust nuts on as many canvases as i can find. something has dissapeared when i start to make out with a FB or ONS. Before - there would be so much chemicals running through me and it'd feel a natural high. now - i feel robotic and strangely human.

So...
1) Is it reasonable to assume more of these problems are being caused by not working out?
2) If they contribute - Would running or lifting weights help better?

Lifting and a little bit of running will do the trick. Anytime I start slacking is when I'm getting out of shape and when I start back, I'm alright.

cool.... and the more i think - the more i realize this lose of desire for ONS and my sudden desire to settle down all occured about the same time i stopped working out...

crazy how much working out has an effect over your emotional and sexual state...

i need no other incentive to get back in the gym - im going to renew my membership on my way to work in 15 minutes...

I can't be having limp **** syndrome.

I got a serious injury on my knee & now need a knee reconstruction. It put me out of the game for a while & made me feel like $hit. I knew it was going to be a long time off once I did it & almost cried, not because of the pain even though it was excruciatingly painful, but because I know I was going to be off for a long time, & on top of that, I'm on a 12 month waiting list for the operation.

It's stressful when you have to stop the things you love to do with a passion, it's depressing!

& on top of that, little things like having to watch how I do things so I don’t injure it anymore, if I have to put my knee through strain I need a knee guard, exercises that my physio gave me that I haven’t done for a while because I don’t want to do it, the thought that I have to wait 12 months for it to be fixed plus at least 6 month rehab, just the thought that I have a debilitating injury...etc. etc.

All these little things affect your well being,
including your performance in bed.

I met other sports people that have been in my situation & have gone through the same experience.

I don’t think it's because you stopped working out, but because you started stressing out!!!

I'd bet a whole lot of money that the problem is all mental. Sometimes when guys stay out of the gym and get out of shape, they lose their sexual confidence as well.

Get that sh!t out of your head, you're fine down there. Now hit the gym.

well first thing would be to try taking the supplements again?
thats a lot easier than motivating yourself to hit the gym if you say you cant

and if that doesnt work, then at least you know what the problem is. THEN, you should be motivated enough to hit the gym =)

well... thanks for all the replies...

update: i've been getting back into working out full speed.

haven't committed to buying a gym pass yet. But have ran 5 out of the 6 last days. Did a few p90x things using kettlebells instead of dumbbells (just trying to get my muscles used to working again) and working the deadlift and benchpress back into my life (using light weight as im just getting my body used to do thing stuff again)...

i got to say, im terribly out of shape after only a 5-6 month layoff.... i can barely run 1/8 of a mile without my body wanting to give up... i guess it doesn't help that it's 30 degrees and 40 mile per hour winds outside and im basically breathing ice sickles....

but yeah... im sure it's mental somewhat... going to be adding sup's back into my diet this friday.... fun fun fun
