It probably burns VCDs (Video CDs) but to back it up with the same quality it'll take like 4 or 5 CDs. Usually VCDs can be played in DVD players, but you gotta keep switching out the CDs. Just get an external DVD burner and do it the right way (or buy an internal DVD burner and a 5.25" enclosure...that might be cheaper).

If you want to burn VCDs, just visit here .

I prefer divx or xvid. Quality is very good, and you can fit a movie on one of two cds. compared to it, vcd is shyt.

If you have a Divx-supported dvd player, you can play them on your TV, otherwise you can only watch it on oyur computer.

I'd buy a DVD drive, but the last one i had estimated 7 hours to burn a 70 minute movie...

Untill they come out wit 48x or something better for reasonable price, i aint gonna invest in one
