Nothing earth-shattering here, just wanted to share an experience that reminded me of the importance of using the basic DJ skills.
Went out Saturday night. Got the number of HB after lots of C+F and kino. When she left entered the dance-floor area with a friend who had decided to pick-up that night. Watched this guy open at least four 3 to 8 sets in a row. The man was an approach machine! Sure he got blown out a few times but he just bounced right back and opened the next set with nothing more than "Hey, how's it going?", or "What's going on here?". The guy was acting like a natural DJ though I'm sure he was unaware of it. He was a social kamikaze and I cringed everytime he made a move and then had to pick my jaw off the ground after he opened one set after another.
I just trailed in his wake and was getting into conversations with HB's left right and centre. Ended up hooking up with one.
The crowd was kinda young, and I ain't so much. So I just wanted to remind the other "mature" guys out there that it can be done, and sometimes all it takes is the persistence to approach, approach, approach. :woo:
