Alright, my girlfriend has a bad back and her bed that we were sleeping on (watching a movie and fell asleep on the bed. It hurt her back bad. Two weeks later she is still feeling the pain).

Note:
She is lactose intolerant so she can't really get much calcium into her system through normal means.

I got the question of what can I do? Is there a supplement that I could buy to increase her back strength or something. Or exercises that she can do to make her back better.

I heard that a person who works on backs (forget the name of what they are called) but they are supposed to do miracles but she doesn't have enough money to afford one.

need help . . .

If its still painful she needs treatment. Osteopaths are best for stuff like that, their results are more permanent than chiropracters.

Supplements won't do anything - her pain is not related to a vitamin or mineral deficiency.

The only thing she could try on her own is getting very warmed up (like a heavy cardio session) and doing lots of stretches while still warm. Also you could massage any problem spots for her.

If her back is sore from simply sleeping badly then its a muscular problem, so there's no chance of you hurting her or damaging anything.

see this is what I thought as well but her back was supposedly healing up fine until she started exercising in a gym class that it started to hurt her. My bet is that she didn't stretch or anything. I will ask her that in the morning though to give you guys a much better thing on whats going on.

Peace,

Yeah, I've had that before. It's nothing serious.

The solution is that she needs to do some ab workouts. I'm not sure why. But this is the solution.

I had to go to physical therapy to relieve the pain. All they really did was make me do some ab workouts.

The abs are somehow connected to the lower back and she needs stronger abdominal muscles, especially obliques. I'd do a search on ab workouts and pick a few of them to do.

Stronger abdominals = NO PAIN

Abs are a major component to stabalizing your hip, therefor giving your lower back a firm and straight area to sit on. They also trasfer alot of the load, all twisting etc off of the lower back erector muscles.

Her bed may be too soft.

She might have developing discopathy.

Shen might have hurt the muscles and tendons holding the spine.

She might have bad posture.

Please tell her to go see a doctor.

DO NOT take advice from people at ss.com when it comes to a medical condition.

yeah her back seems to be getting better but if it starts to really hurt again. I'm telling her mom to get her an appointment because backs shouldn't hurt like that.

and it seems bad backs are a thing that runs in the family.
