Hiya,

I went back to the gym today for first time in 6 months......had an accident at first (fine now) but most of it was spent with gf which is my own fault but decided to go back. Was doing it for 2 years before 4x a week so assume I must still have some muscle memory?

Anyway Ive noticed I can barely lift anything lol its abit disheartening especially since i was doing so well but only myself to blame, any ideas how I can slowly build myself up to what I was before? ive put on a bit of fat on my tummy but ive put a stop to it before it gets too bad...Losing that and adding muscle are the priorities.

Build your conditioning back to what it was and do what you did before to get where you were. It worked the first time didn't it?

messed up my achilles playing football but it seems fine to walk on last couple of months, I just wanta change from my old routine as I had pretty much the same one for 2 years and I think the variation may help me get back into the swing of things? I can post my old routine that worked for me if anyone cares?

I am in the same boat it sucks being away from the weights for so long and I find lifting 100lbs feels like a freakin' ton.

I decided to wait until the new year to restart again to start the year off right and just plan on starting light and gradually increase the weight over a period of time as muscle soreness will be a big factor after a long layoff.

Wish you luck OP.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.
