Axe vs. Tag

Hey everyone

I am new to this forum and I enjoy many of the threads.

I personally love the smell of Axe Orion and have smelled the new Tag line. In terms od success which is better in everyone's opinion? What are your personal favorites?

I find Axe and Tag both just smell cheap, and, gawdammit they all smell the same (Yuck!).

They are both great for spraying in the bathroom after a particularly solid dump. At least that's what I use my AXE for. ;

I'm too poor to buy good cologne right now so I like tag after hours. It's not as strong as all the other sprays.

I agree. I also spray some Axe in the bathroom after I've dropped a big log. Works great!

I view axe and tag as "man febreeze"

In terms of "attracting women" it doesn't work, at all. Because you'll still come off as a desperate virgin that lives with his mother, except you'll smell like 3 dollar ass with a musk overtone.

although the expencive commercial campains these companys run telling you how you'll be a sex machine if you use their product, It's really just a fragrence. I do like them If I need to freshen up real quick to see a girl though.

Word of caution. Those warnings on the can about keeping them in a cool place are true! My friend had a can of axe explode in his car!!...Although it did smell nice in there for a week or so now that I think about.

I completely sold out to old spice though. People ask me if I work for them I have so many of their products. In turn I use the old spice body spray. My favorite one for the moment is Aqua Reef.

If you're broke and can't afford a good cologne, i'd suggest using body sprays that are not that heavily advertised or not advertised at all. After axe and tag started running those commercials, every shmuck started smelling like one. So if you use it, everyone knows, which is not a good thing because this is some really cheap ****. Just find something less common that smells nice and go with it.

They are good as fresheners if you forgot to put on some cologne. It works great for me when I tend ot forget things.

I do have most of the body sprays out there but I like adidas a lot. Got tons of complements on how good it smells and always get asked what kind of cologne it is. For a 3 dollar spray, it is so worth it.

I can't find them anymore though

I find Axe to be a good refresher if you're in the middle of the day or something and haven't taken a shower since the morning, and you're just a bit funky. Other than that, you don't need it.

Get Drakkar Noir, nuff said, literally every time I wear it I get compliments, and one girl on a date complimented me like 4 times and was rubbing up on my neck to smell it, trust me it works.

Moved to AE, as "success" while wearing AXE 'whatever' or TAG 'blah blah' is completely subjective and can't be quantatively measured, regardless of what the commercials would have you believe...

AXE and TAG both suck. If you're going to get a fragrance, spend the whole 30 dollars it's going to cost you and buy yourself a decent bottle of colonge. You can pick up cheap quality brands on eBay for half-price or less... As for AXE and TAG, I'm sticking to the opinion that the only people who would wear it are high schoolers and some very confused college-aged kids...

There is no substitute for quality.

It's not cologne, but the soap and shave gel and lotion smells good. It's not high end, but it's not cheap crap either.

Something else you might try, and this might sound too metrosexual, but lots of headshops and naturopathic stores sell scented oils. You pick one or two you like, maybe mix a couple. I think you can mix it with glycerin or something to dilute it. Have your sister or a girl friend go with you to tell you what smells good.

But stay away from the patchouli, unless you want dready hippie chicks.
