How does one avoid awkward silences with a girl? I know this isn't too common, but it does happen. And if it does happen, what to do about it? For example, i'm on a first date with a girl, just before the good-bye kiss, there is this initial fidgeting around. What do you do about it?

Sometimes a lil bit of silence can be golden

If you don't want silence, talk.

Are you still keeping some eye contact, or are you both looking away? Either way, it shouldn't last over 2 seconds or so.

Some girls like to have the silence there it to test you on the situation. Just go with the flow and dont worry, if the rest of the date went great the little bt of akward silence wont make a difference.

Terrible advice ;P

Dont talk if you have nothing to say, you will come off as sounding like an idiot and during your nervous babblings you will appear to be a very unfunny jester to all those around who happen to have the bad luck to be in your presence.
