Here's an interesting study from the University of Exeter.
It says that newborn babies prefer to look at attractive faces than unattractive faces. This suggests that people are hard wired from birth to prefer attractive people.

Just more grist for the "looks matter/don't matter" mill.
I certainly would not suggest that only looks matter, or that if you unattractive game cannot help you overcome it. I'm just saying obviously it is a factor.
