This may be a bit abstract, but if you can relate, or if you have anything to say, please leave a reply, comment, opinion, or anything.

Sometimes i feel like an artificial don juan. What do i mean?

I worked very hard to get at where i am. If it wasn't for some life tips from this site, a few books, and my super awesome uncle, i don't know where i will be at.

The thing is, I don't feel real. My friends are some of the most attractive dudes you'll see. We are intelligent (in terms of school, calculus, chem, bio, physics, etc), play decent sports, etc. We will probably get into a decent UC.

The thing is, I feel like i have to work very hard just to keep up. I spent almost a year in self improvement, and i don't plan to stop. My arms are more lean, my skin is a lot more clear, my body is taking shape nicely, and i study hard to keep up.

I require a lot of effort, while my friends are a lot more natural. I know there is nothing wrong with what i do, but its nice to chill out and relax. Even though i require much more effort to keep up, through the eyes of others, we appear to be equal.

It's just hard, ya know? They can go home and play star craft but i need to spend that time to improve myself to keep up with them. The results are nice, though, but some people carry it so effortlessly.

Thats cool though, I'm just here to point out that not everyone is equal and that self-improvement is a good way to go no matter who you are.

Some people start off higher off the ladder of success, while some start lower. No one is equal, but self improvement will move you up the ladder.

You guys follow?

I know the more you work on yourself, the more others (especially people you don't know) will notice you. They will start approaching you, and you'll be saying "Damn, Not only did i not approach her or ever seen her, but here she is, fine as hell, trying to get me"

When you enjoy what you're doing, it will feel natural. If you're doing it for someone, for something, or the hope of some end result...then you're not truly enjoying the journey of it. Do it for yourself.

I'm not saying I've mastered this myself either. I still find it hard to do things for myself in some aspects of life, but this is the lesson I have learned.

Precursor, ..dude...you're just a kid. You're only 17.

Seventeen.

Your whole life is about self improvement. Not just one year. Or two years.
It's a continual process. Because to live is to grow. This is physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
It will happen top you sooner or later. Might as well get on the right track and stay there.
You're doing fine.

To be here on Earth is to not want to BE Stagnant.
You will have no choice but to grow eventually.

You have your whole life ahead of you. Don't start pissing and moaning now when you're basically still a kid.

Now...having said that. Let's address your "problems".

What are they exactly?

Good post.

Though are you sure your friends don't work hard to acheive their level of success and you just don't see the effort they put in?

Create self-fulfilling prophecies. Always assume the positive. Assume she likes you. Assume she wants to talk to you. Assume she wants to go out with you. When you think positive, positive things happen.
