Wow! That's interesting. And men have put on a lot of weight too. In fact, those graphs that show the increase in both men and women's weights are surprisingly similar. Makes you wonder if there isn't more to this than a simple lack of self discipline - like growth hormones in the food, for example.

It also states both sexes have gained almost an inch of height, so we're also getting taller. But we're moving around less, so you wonder what is driving this increase in height. Maybe it's just the fact that food is more readily available than ever before?

Processed food folks, that's the problem. You even have processed food items being sold with the wording of "healthy" on them.

So the food they are consuming isn't real food, in combination with the fact that they forgo a committed exercise routine as other things in life get in the way such as work hours, raising a family and just general stress which causes them to eat more or do unhealthy habits like smoke/drink.

It's so funny because the Health and Fitness industry is BOOMING, the Organic Industry is BOOMING, yet the country as a whole is overweight and unhealthy. How does that even work lol?

Looking on the bright side of men in general being fat, I can say at six-two & 175 that the market value of abs has never been higher.

About 2 weeks ago I quit all processed sugar, and anything that wasn't natural. I've dropped 12 lbs. I haven't really changed workout routine, it's just all the crap that we eat. I haven't gone 100% no GMO, but wow...You feel better, more rested, able to deal with more. If you haven't tried this give it a shot. It takes a little getting used to, and you have to plan your meals, but damn does it feel good.

I regretfully had a BK yesterday.

The food hangover is worse than a drink hangover.

Whatever they put in the food, its not good for you.

I'm pretty sure that's it. Notice how the lines on that graph go way up right after 1980. That's about the time they really started putting all this fake, artificial crap in the food supply. I remember Cokes used to be made from real sugar & not this HFCS crap. People just need to eat the right stuff & educate themselves.

Also back in 1960 most people were way more physically active especially in the workplace. Many people still did physical labor, but now most people work in cubicle farms. Unfortunately I work in one of those & you MUST hit the gym regularly if you work in a similar environment. I have a friend who's a union iron worker who's in better shape than I am & he does not hit the gym at all. Having a job where you are very active makes a huge difference.

Yeah, If you ever have a doubt on how bad some of the food is that people put into their systems, just watch the movie super size me. Not only does the guys dr. tell him he's going to kill himself if he keeps up with the experiment, but at the end they show you how a French fry looks after 10 years.........It never changes!! What kind of normal potato won't rot after 10 yrs.

Always remember that what you put in is what you get out!
