Argh So i got Fired Today

Man today i got fired, or "laid off". This sucks. I came in the morning, and just found out. 2 days ago, I made a mistake. My first mistake there in 2+ summers of being there. It wasn't major but it was enough for me to be dismissed. I don't even get paid, its volunteer work.

I know i'll reflect upon this sometime and i'm glad its not that big when compared to a grand scale.

I'm a bit sad i must admit, and also angry. Arjdsghdsjk. Didn't feel good (this never happened to me before).

I played it off cool, but man internally i'm pissed off. Now it's too late in the summer to get a job or anything, but i'll try and see what happens anyways.

Anyone wanna share some stories with a fellow brother?

That sucks I guess, but really it gives you more time to enjoy the finer parts of life, so its not all bad. Happens to people all the time, just get a new job. I've never been fired but came really close. I used the store computer to play games, unfortuatly I didnt erase the history, and we had a meeting, but I played it off and was clear. We only have 1 computer and it has alot of private stuff, so that was my closest.

i agree with bible. perhaps it is just a good excuse to go out and find something that pays

Just chill for the rest of the summer. Then on future resumes, list the period that you worked there as "Summer 2007" and don't specify that it ended early.

This is actually good advice. You might be the only person to have ever gotten fired from a volunteer job. You should probably just quit life now.

i accidentally hit a kid and he cried, told his parents, who informed the manager, who then who in turn fired me without explanation!!

hmm i don't like doing weed or that ****. i like to stay athletic. Will i get addicted to that stuff? I still want to be able to post shots over you 6 foot ballers out there.

I think most of us just wern't caught. At least theres a story to it though. And you boss fired you WITHOUT explanation? Mabye the kid had SOMETHING to do with it.

lol, that sounds to me like a big mistake. You hit a kid! That's grounds for termination under any circumstance in any job. Especially this one, which sounds like a day care.

Why do you bother volunteering?
