What's the best response to this? I can see how each response can have it's pros and cons.



To the "do you have a girlfriend?" question, I still say "Yeah, 3.". Been saying that since high school. Works good

"Are you dating/talking to anyone?" is a YES answer, always. It's another one of those traps we would step into thinking "If I say NO, she'll see that I'm available." Yes, she will, but what happens next? Surely your own experience provides ample testimony.

Just make a joke about it. Tell them, "I'm holding auditions."
