As the title says.
Are we controlled by our unconsious mind without knowing about it? I mean , sometimes when we get angry , we do things that after , once we are calm again and think about what happened , we regret for doing it .
I saw in a documentary that our conscious mind controls only the 20% of all the open tasks.
Another example , when we talk and respond without thinking of our answer , it's our unconsciousmind who speaks and and responds.
The same can be said for approaches. If we have all the will in the world to approach a hb , our unconsciousness kicks in and disaster.

Is that the reason why having a strong inner game is the most important before going out on the field?

What's your opinion about it and how can you explain it?

I am a believer in strong inner game. I do alright and I have never read the DJ bible or anything on pick-up.

Our unconscious mind can be poisonous (the body/dimorphic person whose mind tells him he needs to get skinny because he is so fat) or our greatest friend. Most successful people are successful because they believe they can be. That chubby funny guy walking out with that girl you thought was too hot to be interested in you believed he could be attractive to her and so he went and talked to her with confidence.

Our conscious mind (I believe) can also shape our unconscious. The guy who loses 10 pounds, or gets a new haircut or a suit, even though the changes are minor now believes he is sexier. He is more confident and assured. He gets more success. He creates a feedback loop. His internal image of himself as an ordinary guy not great with ladies shifts to not bad looking guy who isn't bad with the ladies.

Tl:dr?
Our unconscious is powerful but we can also choose what we believe, including about ourselves.

Yes this is why inner game is important, not only about women but also life in general. There's great personal power and freedom in living consciously.

If bad things happen because we don't pay attention it's our own fault, it won't stop happening until we do pay attention and steer ourselves. The unconscious is powerless to rule us if we remain present in the moment completely aware of what's going on. We can override the unconscious with our presence simply by observing it and stepping in when things are about to go bad. It's like babysitting, you don't completely ignore it but you don't micromanage it either. You just step in when you see something is about to go wrong and handle it.

Willpower is a limited resource, but observation takes no effort. So only step in when nescessary I say, let the rest handle itself. If your unconscious mind is wrong, then override it.

Not stepping in is a part of how victim mentality works. Not doing anything can be just as bad as doing the wrong thing, many people seemingly don't understand this.

Look into Zen meditation. It's a great tool to clear the mind and let the thoughts that are deep in your subconscious leave your mind. Overtime you start to develop a new way of thinking and form new habits---Just as long as you practice self awareness and mindfulness.
