Are mature actresses not in demand because of their low sexual market value?

I was reading this article about a group of mature actresses for British soap operas taking nude pics to protest the fact that they are discriminated against for being older. It seems to me that even though the soap opera is basically a porno movie for women, that even women realize that the story lines make more sense with younger women being portrayed, since younger women can get by with so much cr@ppy behavior to men - behavior that mature women cannot get by with, since they are at reduced sexual market value - and ironically, it is this behavior that basically gives the soap opera its sauce.

oh Rly?

Anyway thats true as individuals we're chosen and evaluated from other people according to your sexual market value, thats the reason we dont see ugly fat men as main actors on those same soap operas...or action movies, or romantic movies or well whatever movie.
They think they are discriminated cause they are old? I read somewhere that income in men is proportional to their height as is their number of partners, is that a discrimination to short guys?
Hey girls at least you've been young part of your life, you had your moment what about shorty bob who has never been taken seriously with obvious effects on his self-confidence then studies and romance?

Well life is a b1tch, you're either desiderable or not with all the conseguences coming from it.
And please if you really have to protest just dont take advantage of it for some attention wh0ring as usual..it seems like they want to show themselves and are not even ready to pay the conseguences of it.

Anyway nudity as form of protest is old, has been invented from those so called feminists "femen" http://femen.org/

http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/FemenRead the story of these cvnts, kinda funny as the women in the article but younger.
No surprise that again we are talking about wealthy, educated women..

I've noticed this ever since I was a young lad. You'll have a famous actor as the leading man in movie after movie, and the leading lady keeps getting replaced by the latest hot young thing to come around.

In the movies, you usually see some guy in his 40s paired with a woman in her 20s. The older women have to play the older mother or grandmother roles, if any are available.

Rollo nailed it in his blog not too long ago: a 40 year old woman has to be HOT to have the same sexual market value as a plain 20 year old. Same dynamic is at play here.

Ping pong - spot on.

While older guys playing James Bond (for example) can go on till they're in their 60's, name me one female actress of this age with, what most people in Hollywood would agree, as having large market 'sex appeal'?

Yes, men are discriminated against too - that's a separate question though. The fact is, if women lose their sexual currency, they lose their demand in movies/TV, and often society as well. Bit parts await.
