I know everyone hates new years resolutions, but after the new year, I wanted to start a DJ Bootcamp session.

I think it's Ideal (at least for me) because i will be turning 21, I will be back in a college town(oppourtunity), and i think i'll have motivation if i have two to five other people on here. I know there are a lot of other DJ's (or in my case, a recovering DJ) that are headed to a new semester at college.

But don't let the fact that you aren't 21, or not going back think you aren't qualified for this. Beggers can't be choosers, and i won't choose. There's some strength in numbers.

I will also be supplementing the DJ bootcamp with an intense workout schedule found here:
http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=311west2
After all, a dj is strong mentally and phsysically. Techinically, we should do the phsyical training first(I want to get this done before my semester gets too busy with school work), but i'll call it motivation. I will require anyone that participates to be working out on a steady program (with a plan!)and have a controlled diet. I noticed when that when i

Unless i can convince a moderator to make a new forum (please?) just for this session, i will attempt to host the BB out of my dorm.

The program will be followed to the T... Just as listed. Expect hourly commitments each week to be 5-10hours, plus the time required for workouts. (read: don't commit if you are too busy, thanks for the thought, but no thanks)

So all in all I'm looking for people with these things:

1. Has a good reason to do this *(see below)
2. WILL do this for 8 weeks. (and not become slated 4-5weeks into it)
3. Will continue to work out for 16 weeks. (if not longer)
4. Have time to spend 1 hour every thursday reporting their progress in detail. (lines, experiences, thoughts)
5.Has money to spend on a protein, creatine, and multivitamins. (just wait till #6)
6. Will eat a diet that tastes like crap most days. (mmm protein)
7. Will actually read the readings and most of the discussion that follows. (and will quiz other people in the program just to check hehe)

*By a good reason, I mean not one of these:
I need to get laid
I want to get laid
I want to do this so i can get laid more often
Find a good reason (for yourself and your future perhaps), but doing it to get laid is a piss-poor reason.

A digital camera will also be helpful (for initial/final workout evalutation and in weeks 6,7,8 makes a usefull tool for starting conversation)

So if you want to join in, post below why you fufill requirements 1-8 and your reason for doing this. Don't post a commitment you really meet all these things. You will be required to send a testicle to a holding freezer. If you don't finish the program, people will confuse you with a testicular cancer survivor.**

**not really, but do you get my point?

And if a mod could sticky this for 3 weeks, (please again) we can start the 6th... or maybe the week after (13th).. That would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading, have a merry christmas and don't get to drunk on New Years!

I think i qualify the reaons:

1. Why: I've drifted back to AFC ways. I need a to start anew.
2. Will do this: Yes. I give my word and my honor.
3. Will work out: Yes. This will be harder, but i will.
4. Thursday nights: I will MAKE time for this program even though i might not HAVE time. it is an investment in myself.
5. Money: 45 hours this week, 35 next week... I think that'll work.
6. Diet: I like food, but 4 months really isn't that long. And i'll celebrate afterwards
7. Reading: Yes. I can find a place and time each week to do the required readings and i'll throw in a quote or two in discussion to keep tabs on fellow DJ's.

yeah ill do it

i've been looking foward to do this from a little while now, i even tried to convince some friends but they were like "ah...."

some info about me:

im mexican
im 19
no gf/first kiss/etc yet
im fat

actually my dad has diabetes, so if i dont fkin do something soon i'll probably get it too, so its also for health reasons, but its time for me to learn how to eat properly.

i will have time, classes start until Feb, and i will have a kind of "light" semester, cause last semester i took some of this semesters classes. (but cant take any of next semester's classes this semester)

i also got a digital camera

and i've been working in the "game" now, i mean i already bought my self some contact lenses (thing that i would had never done before coming to this site)

about working out, i dont think i can go to a gym, but i got alot of gear here at home.

1. I am in my last year of college. Only 20 weeks of university left. Never again will I be surrounded by hot girls my own age. Time to take advantage of this and pull some ladys.

2. I will keep going the distance

3. Ditto. I have my own workout routine that not everyone will agree with but I am disciplined, follow it and do make sure my diet is clean and full of protein

4. Full progress reports will be submitted.

5. Yes

6. Yes

7.Yes.

I'M IN

I'm tired of not taking action...
I'm tired of not doing what I know I can do...
I'm tired of not seizing the moment...
I'm tired of thinking about wasted highschool years...
It's time to change. I'm worth it, and I deserve it.

1. It's time for me to take the next step in my life, by expressing the worth in my own life. I'd like to share that with someone(s). I've been an AFC all through highschool, and for most of college, and just this last fall semester began to change my ways. I need a serious wake up call. Bootcamp is it. :D

2. I have an addictive and driven personality. When I want to do something, learn something, or be something, I do whatever it takes to do that. I WILL do this for the entire eight weeks.

3. Number three doesn't apply to me. Excersize is already a lifestyle for me. It has been since I was six. I've played A, AA, AAA hockey for about 10 years until college, at which time I started training for MMA NHB by taking up brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muy-Thai. I train about 5-6 days a week without fail. I'm in tip-top shape.

4. I can always make an extra hour to take the time to share this with you. If I have to I'll get up an hour earlier to do that.

5. See number 3. Fitness is my lifestyle. I supplement regularly. (I don't take protein everyday, because it's not required for what I want to do). I have enough cash to handle my stuff.

6. Ever heard of a juice fanatic? That's me...When I get a juicer next semester I'll be drinking fresh fruit and fresh vegetable juice everyday.

7. It's 1 am, and I'm still reading these forums. Does that mean I don't have a life? hehe. No, j/k :p, but it does mean that I'm interested enough to make this a part of my life. :)

Alright, nice guys...you've got at least two guys here who are going all the way. Are you in or out?
Let's do this ****. I start Jan 5th when I get back to my college town.

every one needs to hear about yours, mine, all progress that is made while your doing boot camp so that they can see the benefits and success that this will bring..

you have to commit yourself to this, otherwise there is really no point in trying to become a real DON JAUN!!;)

Yo I'm in

Yo, I'm in.

1. Just ended a relationship where I acted like an AFC for the entire 11 months. I want to be a better person - there is no better reason. Contrary to what some seem to believe, women are not the primary purpose of becoming a DJ, they are secondary.
2. I'm going to have the hardest semester of my life this semester, but I don't care, I'll make the time.
3. I don't go to gyms, but I will run every other day.
4. I have no class on Fridays - I can post Thursday nights, no problem.
5. I'm just recently decided to become a vegan. Thus my diet will have to take proteins into account.
6. See #5
7. No problem, all I do all day is read anyway (oh, the joys of studying history).

See you Jan. 5.

Hmm... is it sound weird or its just me:)

About DJ Boot Camp... I've wanted to start it few days ago but I have to wait until next year(back in univeristy town:])

My reasons? Fun, meeting lot of new people(i have rather boring life right now:]), beating fear of meeting new people, i think it will help not only with girls.

Only problem is that I don't want any diet in my life:) Maybe i'm a little to heavy:], but not that much so I dont have motivation... same for work outs... I just go to swimmingpool every day from few weeks and it seems to work for me.
If you want me, i'm in... if not... I'll be a lonely hero one more time(i hope last time in my life:)
