Spoiler
The character "Hal" prefectly exemplifies the 'Nice Guy' Sosuave teach against being. Patiently and secretly pining for her affection for such a long time. How dare Roxanne never tried to "get to know him better" and fall in love with him? Why does she has to be so superficial? Overweight, juvenile and uncouth etc. men without interesting hobbies need love and can dish out love too. He was such a nice guy, he really *wanted* Roxanne and it is all Roxanne's fault he turned evil ;__;
As if!! Just messing with ya.
The truth is I found Hal's entire characterization and design is a mirror image of real life spiteful men who call themselves "nice guys" and complain girls don't appreciate them (their so called "niceness"). Oh the fun I had watching this movie.
So, did Hal remind anyone else of people who like to call themselves nice guys?
Oh yeah, if you haven't seen this film, go check it out. It's great that animated movies these days are becoming less and less for children, finally mainstream audiences can get a test of awesome animation without it being "for kids" idk if you guys have yet seen Rango, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Spongebob etc haha. But this movies got a kickass soundtrack also WHICH I LOVE I LOVE MUSIC. (ACDC, GnR, MichaelJackson....holy &&&&)
