Third Culture Kids (abbreviated TCKs) refers to someone who [as a child] has spent a significant period of time in one or more culture(s) other than his or her own.

My Passports & Identities:

- Spanish
- Canadian
- British
- American Green Card
- Hong Kong Permanent ID Card.

Have you ever had any problem in relating to people who have not grown up in more than one culture? I mean at school I do have problems relating to people, I don't know if I belong to the Western people- or if I belong to the Chinese people.

So I am having abit of an identidy crisis at the moment.

If you are (or were) a Third Culture Kid, have you ever had any problem growing up? I really wish to meet more TCK's- so I can find some people I can relate to and that can understand me.

Location
Wherever I please
Why are you restricting yourself to one culture?

You're a traveler-a man that has traveled the world

I'm somewhat a "TCK" as you label, being both of filipino and us heritage

I had an identity crisis like this some time ago

I don't restrict myself to one nationality

All I can say is be true to yourself

I must say the locations profile I found incredible interesting, reflected of the post. "Everyone but nowhere" for the person who feel in too many cultures and "I pleased" for the reply.

I've lived in one city all my life. Being multi-cultured is nothing to be ashamed about man, I wish I was in a sense. Actually, it's probably better to be in your position because chances are you haven't been corrupted. Believe me, a lot of people would envy the situation you are in.

My advice is to go away from seeing yourself as part of a group and instead see you and everyone as individuals. We get our rights and our identity as individuals, not as being part of any group (which is what perpetuates stuff like racism).
