I believe that in life, people's beliefs are shaped by their life experiences. Me, being raised as a Christian, was trained to believe that the Christian ways are the realest they could be. However, having grown up to the age where I can make my own decisions, I catch many flaws towards any kind of mass religion.

Let's face it, Christianity, Judaism, Muslimism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Mormonism... etc. are all "canned" wisdoms. They are a set of beliefs of many people forced into them and shaped into an ultimate biased melting pot of faulty logic and mixed beliefs.

For quite some time, I have been questioning the Christian belief I was raised into. Since I came to this site, my doubts about any kind of religion has been proven solid. The insights and wisdom in this site are what all men should follow. People's beliefs are shaped by society, but society always changes.

There are so many things to say about this subject, but I just wanted to let out what is in my head. I am thinking of becoming an Atheist and becoming my "own" new man. The truths in this website are from men of all religions and of all walks of life. These people have opened my eyes.

By now, I am even starting to understand the ways of people. Mainly my parents. They raise me because it is natural for them to do so as parents. They also want me to follow their ways because it is natural for parents to pass on their knowledge about survival and to pass on traits to keep the species flowing...etc... Within the short term of time I have visited this site... I have gained an extensive amount of wisdom from all men, gathered up from thousands of years of experience. I think it is all too much too take at one moment of life.

However, there is one thing for sure. Life is all about learning. My parents passed Christianity to me because it is tradition and the want me to learn the facts of life from it. However, I feel like I have a much more reliable source of knowledge and wisdom..... the men of the world through the ages.

To lump any of those beliefs into a category of being "canned" is to greatly oversimplify them...possibly for convenience.
And if Christianity is nothing more than a tradition for you, you have an unfortunate view of Christianity. And traditions are a good thing in my opinion.

But you know what? Backbreaker is right. I'm not here to talk religion. I'm here to become the kind of man who can be a successful candidate for mating with an awesome woman....within the context of my religion, which is a strong part of my life. If others only want to learn how to boink more chicks, I respect that. My goal, though slightly different, should also be respected...
Atheist, Hindu, Pagan, whatever.
