sorry seems like prom has been spamming a bit so i just wanna ask this short question then this thread can get bumped way down and out of the way:p

alright so here it is.

Situation : girl I know that i want to ask to prom has been saying that she has been asked to prom several times and the first person that asked her she told them she wasent going as an excuse cause she dident want to be mean as it was one of her friends she wants to stay a friend.

so i want to ask her to prom but she has said she is not going in order to not offend these other people (she is in gr 11 by the way so not her prom but mine)

I havent asked her yet. but when me and my buddy were talking with her at lunch one day and she said she wasent going i just sorta joked about me giving her 50 bucks to go with me, she laughed then said that she wass hoping i was coming to this other dance later in the year and i just C+F responded with " ya but this dance partner will cost you" or somthing along those lines

anyways bottom line i want to ask her, but I dont want to seem afc like if i get turned down or be afc like and beg, what can i do or say once she says she cant in order to change her mind with out seeming desperate or afc like?

ps. these other guys that are allways around her and asking her are complete afc's all the way, very obviously so too.

Hmm....that's a pretty tricky situation.

If I were in your shoes (they'd better be some classy shoes) I would try to get a bit of a confession out of her...maybe use some C&F and say something along the lines of "you know you want me to ask you to prom" etc etc. I'm guessing she'll react positively to that. If she does, then you can ask her...but it will still be risky and she might say not.

Are you really that hell bent on going to prom with her? If you aren't, ask another girl. If you are.....the way I see it...you're a senior, it's your last chance. You'll be pretty much out of her life in a few months anyway, so why not take a chance?

there is other to ask, like this other girl that is easily a 8 or 9 would go with me, and would have sex with me for sure and all that, but shes not LTR material for me. where as this girl im looking at in a more LTR veiw. ive allways kind of hung out down the hall from her and talked and stuff but we only just really started getting to know each other and hanging out recently

Well then, you have some options. You could ask the other girl and make it pretty clear to this girl that it's nothing serious (in a non AFC way of course)

Or, you could take a chance with the girl you like. It all depends on how interested you think she is in you.

First off, getting turned down doesn't make you an afc, begging does.

All girls love going to the prom, it's a social/popularity thing for them. She turned these other guys down most likely because she's holding out for someone else. She already mentioned she hoped you would go to the next dance... sign maybe?

Since she's the one you want to go with the solution is really simple.... ASK HER. It only takes like five minutes, so if she does happen to say no you still have plenty of time to ask another girl.

I wouldn't try to change her mind if she turns you down though. Just go get another date to show her you've got options.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
