Me personally, I would make friends with a hot chick that has hot friends and not a fat chick that has hot friends. Normally its the other way around. I make friends with hot chicks that have fat friends.

Perhaps you can find something that interests both of you, some hobby or whatever. Use this as your reason for hanging out with the FUG.

This has the effect of limiting the scope of the relationship. You are saying "I am only spending with you because you enjoy X and I enjoy X, otherwise we wouldn't be in contact." When you just hang out with her and do/go whatever/whatever, there is no boundary.

This lets you spend time with the FUG and the opportunities to meet her friends without sending a subtle message that you may be interested in her. This way there is little or no confrontation.

The only way you can use a fat girl to get to her cute friends is if you look really good or have EXCELLENT game. If your looks or game is average then her good looking friends will just think "finally, someone for jabba" If your game or looks is great then they will think, "jabba doesn't deserve him, I look much better." They will try to get your attention. From there its your game to lose
