Am I getting played?

I have been lurking on these forums for a while and I find them very very interesting as it is a intellegent and thoughtful read by men.

I have read this forum and I have a question. I met a single mother about 1 month ago and she is a good girl. She has intentions of a LTR which I am also interested in. One day when I was at her place her cell phone rang twice but she didn't answer it. I asked who it was and she said "Oh just this guy who is in love with me but I don't like him - We hang out sometimes" This really clicked with me as it doesn't make sense at all. After that one day we had plans and she contacted me beforehand stating - "I forgot it was my co-workers B-day and we are going to go have drinks with the rest of the company - Are you mad at me? " I told her I didn't care as I was going to a E3 after-party.

Seeing these 2 things really makes me want to back off since I beilive that the guy she hung up on in my presence is someone in the bullpen and that was the guy she probably went and saw on Friday. My father has always told me Single Mothers are no good and it seems complicated since the child is always around.

I am STRONGLY considering just skipping this woman and finding someone less complicated and a bit more honest. She wants to see me today as she claimed to felt really tired but honestly I am tired of the BS. I am thinking about texting her and just telling her I am no longer interested...or just not answer the phone when she calls and leave her wondering...

Psychologists tell you that more often than not your gut instinct when backed up by your logical reasoning will be correct and even mine is telling me that this chick you've described has got something going on the side.

I advise you not to proceed emotionally but go ahead and use her for any sex you can get out of her if thats your thing but again yeah she's no good for a real relationship.

Keep in mind a lot of the really messed up chicks seem gentle, harmless and sweet but nothing could be further from the truth and you find out that truth for yourself as things progress.

Well my gut instict i trust and it all doesn't add up. I am going to send her a txt just telling her why and that I am no longer interested in seeing her. I don't even want to use her for sex just in case she can come back and go "I think I am pregnant or I am pregnant and it's yours. You guys are correct. I do not need that stress...
