Am I conceeded for complimenting myself everyday?

I've had a big self esteem problem growing up so now I tell myself stuff like I'm a fun guy and I never make things awkward with anybody, and that I'm funny, just stuff like that but I'm scared that I'll just turn conceeded. If I will turn conceeded for that then what other things can I do to start developing self confidence? thanks

THAT little bit shouldn't turn you conceited. There is a line between self confident and thinking you are better than everyone else.

The fact that you are already aware of this, will help to keep your attitude grounded in your future success.

Feeling conceited is actually a good thing as long as it doesn't go to your head.

Its like having pride in a way. I don't see it being a problem unless you become completely arrogant and big-headed. It is a turnoff when excessive. Confidence is when you know what you are and you dont have to validate yourself at the expense of other people i.e. putting them down in an arrogant way or looking to be complimented on everything.

For example, everybody brags how they speak 3 languages, and you speak 5 but never tell them about, and when they find out or see you use them it's a pleasant surprise.
Or you have a corvette and no one knows about. You just know you have a cool car.
