You can't go wrong with the advice on that site. I've worked with Iron Addict myself, and he's the real deal. In fact, after reading about the skinnyguy.net-program yesterday I realized that he's using about the same principles as Iron Addict is. The difference is the fact that Iron Addict is open to using more volume and/or frequence should your GENETIC RECOVERY ABILITY allow it. Your challenge is to try several types of training (with proper nutrition) to find out what kind of training suits you.
MOST people will NOT gain on a volume training regime, only 5-10% of a population can recover from it.
The average person does best on a hardgainer-routine with few sets and no more than a three-split trained once a week, some even need to reduce it to once every nine or twelve days.
Personally, I can gain on a reduced volume program provided I change it up and do a hardgainer routine in between to give my body a break.
Why am I giving you all this info? It took me eight years of reading and testing before I realized that I had overlooked the factor of the all-might genetic recovery ability. This is the very essence of training. Once you understand this, you will understand why a routine will work wonders for your buddy, but is killing YOU.
So, once you find your recovery ability, the secret is lift weights (try to add weight often), eat (get at least 1.5 grams of protein pr pound of bodyweight), sleep (no less than seven hours every night). I also recommend mostly compound exercises, but machines are not out of the question if you rotate exercises.
Well...guess it ended up a bit long, but the info is gold, so go to
