Oh yeah and I know this isn't the Anything Else forum but nobody goes in there.

I was approached to sale this product that saves people money on gas bills, fuel costs, and water bills. It's a magnetic technology thing that attaches on gas pipes and fuel lines and it's supposed to break apart hydrocarbons to get a complete burn and from that, people's gas bills will go down.

They have testimonials from people using it, but I just think to myself why doesn't EVERYBODY have it, or at least why doesn't the government and big shops have it? Wouldn't this product be like the cure for aids, I mean who would say no?

There's my 2 parts of myself that keep talkign on this one. One part says it works and I'll make money on it, the other part says it doesn't work and because of that, I won't make jack shyt.

Can someone please help me??

That's not possible. The hydrocarbons are NON-METALLIC. Hydrocarbons contain the elements Hydrogen (H), Carbon (C), and sometimes Oxygen (O).. depends on the compound.

Now, seeing as how they are non-metallic. The magnets would not have any noticeable effect whatsoever. Unless you got metal shavings running through the pipes along with the gas, screwing up the combustion in the furnace, its a waste of money.

Buy a more efficient furnace with better insulation so the heat doesn't dissipate in the wrong part of the house. Another idea would be to get it cleaned every few years. If it operates for a long time without cleaning, gunk builds up inside and messes with the combustion. It becomes less efficient because of the tar and carbon deposits over time... not only that, but when you have crappy combustion inside the furnace you get Carbon Monoxide. Which if it leaks into your house... kills you in about 15 minutes.

Also, get a water filter if you want cleaner water with less toxic chemicals like lead, mercury, and other chemicals which cause brain damage in large amounts.

If it really worked so well, everybody would be using it. Do you know why? Because IT WOULD SELL LIKE MAD if it did work. They would advertise once and people would BUY EVERYTHING! They would be MULTI-MILLIONAIRES in a few months!

But that's not the case here since they know they're full of shyt.

No I completely disagree. Since it WILL NOT work, you will in fact LOSE MONEY. You have to buy the crap and then throw it out once you see you got shafted.



Your call dude. Just remember. When you get screwed out of the money, please post a new thread with the whole story how they conned you... just so other people will learn from that mistake.

Did you read the part where I said that IT'S NOT POSSIBLE to affect hydrocarbons with a magnetic field? Hydrocarbons are NON-METALLIC.

Here's a simple test for you. Take one of those earth-magnets (stongest solid-state mangets known to man) and throw it into a vat of OIL. Will it do anything?

HELL NO.

Because the oil is NON-METALLIC. Not only that but its also a hydrocarbon. It's just a liquid kind.. unlike the gaseous propane running through your pipes.



If you don't believe me: here's what you do. Go down to your local high-school and ask to speak with a chemistry or physics teacher. They'll give you the rundown on why it will not work.


Don't be stupid. Save your money.

Or use it to get your furnace cleaned. That's a sure-fire way to reduce fuel consumption.

And again, I'm NOT BUYING IT, I was approached to SELL IT...and I can't decide on if I can make money on this!

And Daddy, I hear you on the fact that hydrocarbon isn't a metal, but then WHY DID THE TESTIMONIALS from other customers say they saved money?

Why? I evened talked to some of them and they said it worked, then I do research and it's usually some science guy like you that says it doesn't, WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THESE FOLKS MAKE THIS UP??

It's like you science guys say it doesn't work, but yet you guys didn't try it. There's some people who say they've tried it and it didn't work...and the science guys use those people to back their claims. If you do a search for magnetic technology you'll see more discussions on this.

I just want to know, because I can get it tried by some companies and if it works, I'm fvckin rich!

I checked out the site. I can see why you would think its "legitimate" seeing as how they use some basic scientific jargon.

But the bottom line is:

1. It doesn't work.
2. The site is complete garbage. Looks like it was put together in a day.
3. They give no scientific proof to their claims.
4. If it did work, they would have a PATENT for it.

Patent: Grants the inventor of a new product or process exclusive rights to the manufacture, use, or sale of that invention.

Patents are used by large companies as a means of laying the claim on their invention(s). If you own the patent to an invention, anyone who tries to duplicate or steal your idea would find themselves in court with a hefty lawsuit on their hands.

Magnetic fields only affect ferrous metals. They do nothing else.

Hydrocarbons break apart by catalysts, and reactions (like combustion):

For Example: Octane + Oxygen ==> Carbon Dioxide + Water
