Can two alphas hang out together? Is it possible to be friends and hang out without one dominating the other? If an alpha doesn't seek to dominate the other, will he no longer be an alpha? Or is it just an ego thing and two guys who would be alphas among betas should (with a healthy sense of self) be able to just be themselves and not have to establish anything?

They should be able to feed off of each others' energy. If one is trying to outshine the other, then the other will just try to up his game to compete. It should be seen as a way of becoming better, not ego.

Any two people, 'alphas', 'betas', 'omegas' or whatever, can hang out and get along and cooperate. It's only when you add a 3rd or more persons does the 'alpha' pit the other person against a 3rd. This is my theory of human behavior, any time more than 2 people get together one 'alpha' person pits the other(s) against the 3rd person. There's always an "instigator' and the rest followers in putting one person on the outs.

I would agree, but my closest friend is a definite alpha, always calm, leads etc, and we feed off each other, not trying to 1up at all, its just banter.
however if theres a third, we tend to work off each other to wind him up.

2 Alphas can get along well. 3rd man gets crushed by sister/mom jokes

I think I get what you're saying, and now that you've said it, I think I've seen this many times in the past. Thanks for clearing that up.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.

Do you watch boxing? Have you ever seen that program 24/7?
Probably not, but my point relates to one of the episodes where Floyd Mayweather (generally regarded as the best pound for pound boxer in the world) hangs out with 50 Cent at the mall.

Whilst I don't think that Mayweather is an Alpha, he has alpha status power and wealth. I thought it was quite interesting to watch, two guys, surrounded by hangers on, doing basically whatever the fcuk they like.

Edit; They've now actually fell out.

I agree that Alpha's can get on. Like attracts like. In a club environment for example they'd both be working the room, not necessarily as a pair, just doing their own thing.
