All my fat is back!

Ok!!! Here i go!! I been loosing weight for about 3 weeks!! I ate about 1000 calories a day! and lost about 15 pounds!! And then we had a picnicat my friends house!! i ate all i could eat!!I woke up and weighted myself!! I was 4 punds more!! Then the next day!! i gave myself a break!! ate little more than i usually do!!! And know I am back like i was 3 weeks ago!!! DId i starved for nothing??? Should i just eat puke eat puke?? i mean comen!! its not fare!!!

This is probably really obvious but you need to ease off food. Cut your calories gradually. Then gradually eat more. Then once your eating more you eat many small meals to keep the matabolism up and the fat burning. That entire process should take at least 3 months.

Also I dont think that 5 lbs a week is healthy. Your body was starved and now will take as much out of everything and turn it into fat because it thinks food might be scarce.

Less than 1700 calories a day for a male, and the body goes into starvation mode. And there is no point going by what the scales say.

I wish I could give you another negative reputaion but... I have to wait.

IDIOT!!!! Have you heard of YO-YO dieting? Go read something. You know nothing of nutrition or even common sense.

Get some knowledge and come back. Nothing in life is fare!!!

I've been slowly losing weight the past two years. I started off extremely obese(330) and now I'm down to 265 but I still have a ways to go before I'll be at a good weight for my height/frame(I figure around 190 or so, put on some muscle too). It will probably be another year and a half to two years before I finally get to my goal..

But I just have to at least try anyway. I can't just sit on my ass for two years because I'm not in the physical shape I could be in. Plus if I start learning to build confidence NOW while I'm still fat it will be even easier to be confident once I get normal.

You are doing a Yo-Yo diet. Look it up. It won't work and in some cases after the diet ends and you resume "normal", you gain it all back and then some.

Eat propely, lose weight slowly. If you overdo it, you will end up fat again.

Sorry bout the harshness earlier, but you have to realize the ignorance of many posters here. It is mind numbing, and you're not helping.

If you ate only 1000 calories a day and lost 15 pounds, you probobly lost muscle mass. The body doesn't really like to burn fat. Add starvation mode and the body burns muscle proteins instead of fat since muscle is protein and a source of energy. Now, given that you lost musclemass, you now need less calories to maintain a bodyweight. In other words, your metabolism slowed down. This is why a 200 lbs guy needs to eat more than a 130 lbs guy to maintain his weight.

So, your body is in starvationmode by now. When you go from eating 1000 calories a day to eating high calories without gradually upping the dayly calorie intake (300-500 a week), the body responds by spiking insuline and stores the calories in the fat celles. Also if you ate alot of carbs, they draw water and glucose into your muscles, wich also weighs a bit. A fair amount of that weight you lost might be waterweight. But still, if you lose more than 2 lbs a week no matter what diet you're on, most of it is muscle. Unless youre morbidly obece ofcource.
