Told regularly that I look a lot younger than my actual. Secret,if I have one is as above, I always wear sunscreen on my face all year round, and a good moisturiser at night. Drink 2 litres of water a day also. Makes a big difference. they say after 40 you get the face you deserve!

You're in the UK and wear sunscreen all year round?
This 99% convinces me that the claims on this forum of 'I look 10-15yrs younger because I wear sunscreen' are self delusions. Sun exposure is healthy and it's not just about vitamin D. This scaremongering about sun is ridiculous. If for instance you're born in Ireland and your ancestry is white and move to Egypt then yeah, take some sensible precautions (covering yourself in chemicals is not one of them) because your genetics and your current environment are mismatched, but if that's not the case, it doesn't make sense to see the sun as your enemy to be avoided at all costs.

You are,I think the word is "extrapolating" to much from what I have said. The sun is not my enemy at all. I agree its good for you, but,to much is not. Its not even opinion, its fact. I see people who work outside, even in the UK,and they are as red and rugged as face skin can be,and look older than their years. You can get "healthy" sunscreens, sans all the chemicals, and whilst not perfect, they provide a good barrier to aging sun rays. You do you,but il continue to do me and wear it,as im outside a lot and dont want to look like an old leather boot and this is what happens when you are out in the sun to long. Its a no brainer!

There isn't any point trying to convince people, end of the day it's their skin. If they ain't bothered about looking like ****e that's their choice.

I'm in the UK too I constantly throw on a bit of sunscreen and do a daily skincare.

I work outside, hobbies take me outside, I'm around and at sea a fair bit too. Literally in the elements in all conditions, my skin looks great.

Got some school friends that I've known forever. All (were) decent looking around the same level, I'm the only one out of the group who wears sunscreen, takes care of skin.

These days they all look like ****. Real ugly leathery skin, probably got to the point it's irreversible for them. Stopped trying to give them advise a years ago.

No point preaching what works, most people couldn't care less if they age badly or not.

Just got to respect that. You know what works, just keep doing you and age gracefully.
