Age and reason...
IMHO you can disregard the idea that a woman will only go for a man who is significantly older just because he makes six times the money of someone else who is younger. This may be more obvious when the money stacks up like that, but what is really important for a woman is that the man not lead her into trouble.
I’m learning to talk to women who are only one third my age. They think I’m cute, funny, and sort of innocent and harmless. Mostly, they’re right.
It really is sad for me to see pretty girls go out with some schmuck in a baseball cap when they could go out with me. The chances that they end up on Match.com in 3-5 years with a couple of kids and no husband are huge. For someone my age, the odds of my committing adultery or turning into a druggy are zero. I know my family line, so I won’t become manic/depressive or an alcoholic. And I won't become dotty either. I should outlive 80% of those who are 45 today. I know how to manage money, set up a family financial plan and work a business. For a young woman to seriously target me would, at least at the moment, scare me to death, but there are many benefits on her side. If you can show a woman that a couple of sons and a business to run coupled with financial independence is entirely possible, a really smart woman would go for that idea. Her feet would never touch the ground and she would be comfortable all her life.
I’ve discovered a couple of other things about age that are notable. One is that there is a set of women who prefer older men. Not many, but there are a few. Which means that there are a whole bunch who only need to be introduced to the idea. From the accomplished few with whom I’ve spoken, it would be impossible for them to go back to "the guys", their pick-up trucks and their football games. They are a special set of women who crave sophistication and are addicted to it.
Enter the subject of the single mommy. I’m not real sure about this one, so I can’t tell you more at this time, but it appears that having a child and a divorce adds about ten years on to a woman’s outlook towards life. Another way to say it would be that a 25 year old single mom is about as hard headed as a 35 year old woman.
Just looks like this to me.
