Hypothetical question, interested in peoples opinions on this-
all else being equal, same guy, same skills with women. Who/ at what age is this guy going to have the most success with women aged 25-30 years old-
A. When the guy is 30 years old and is broke/in school
B. When he is 35 years old and making about $50,000 per year
C. When he is 40 years old and making about $300,000 per year

Also assume he stays in the best physical shape he can at these ages.

I'd think it would depend on what he's looking for. An LTR? The older guy for sure.

When everything else is EQUAL (e.g. same skills)...what do you think is going to tip the balance? Of course $$$ and POWER. And who do you think a single 40-year old man is going to go for? You are right...a 25-30 year old woman that is in her PRIME (and still tamable).

And what do you think a 25-30 year old woman is looking for?

And remember...ALL three guys has the SAME health, body shape, and SKILLS.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

I would say the 30 year old because being a DJ is about progressing. In this scenario you are talking about the same man at different points in his life/career.

If this dude has the same skills at 40 that he did at 30, then he hasn't done nothing in the 10 years to progress except increase his income. To me, a DJ who hasn't done sh1t in 10 years to improve his game is NOT attractive.

A woman with a broke 30 year old man, when she can be with a 40 year old man that makes $300K a year and have the SAME skills and similar looks?

Age and reason...

IMHO you can disregard the idea that a woman will only go for a man who is significantly older just because he makes six times the money of someone else who is younger. This may be more obvious when the money stacks up like that, but what is really important for a woman is that the man not lead her into trouble.

I’m learning to talk to women who are only one third my age. They think I’m cute, funny, and sort of innocent and harmless. Mostly, they’re right.

It really is sad for me to see pretty girls go out with some schmuck in a baseball cap when they could go out with me. The chances that they end up on Match.com in 3-5 years with a couple of kids and no husband are huge. For someone my age, the odds of my committing adultery or turning into a druggy are zero. I know my family line, so I won’t become manic/depressive or an alcoholic. And I won't become dotty either. I should outlive 80% of those who are 45 today. I know how to manage money, set up a family financial plan and work a business. For a young woman to seriously target me would, at least at the moment, scare me to death, but there are many benefits on her side. If you can show a woman that a couple of sons and a business to run coupled with financial independence is entirely possible, a really smart woman would go for that idea. Her feet would never touch the ground and she would be comfortable all her life.

I’ve discovered a couple of other things about age that are notable. One is that there is a set of women who prefer older men. Not many, but there are a few. Which means that there are a whole bunch who only need to be introduced to the idea. From the accomplished few with whom I’ve spoken, it would be impossible for them to go back to "the guys", their pick-up trucks and their football games. They are a special set of women who crave sophistication and are addicted to it.

Enter the subject of the single mommy. I’m not real sure about this one, so I can’t tell you more at this time, but it appears that having a child and a divorce adds about ten years on to a woman’s outlook towards life. Another way to say it would be that a 25 year old single mom is about as hard headed as a 35 year old woman.

Just looks like this to me.

I would say everything else being equal the 40 year old would come out ahead, but I think that the number would increase the closer the women are to age 30 and decrease the closer they are to 25.

That age is a big turning point for men and women. Most people are out of school and starting to get serious about life, and it changes your entire outlook. I would bet that women who reach this pivotal point at a younger age would be more likely to go for the 40 year old.

So the verdict is in- even if you are old and ugly money trumps all, no pun intended, of course. When I said they were similar I should have clarified similar but with the natural progression that comes with age. Even a fit 40 year old guy is going to have a few more wrinkes and possibly some grey hairs that the 30 year old guy will not have.
I think I am sort of a late bloomer. I am currently the 35 year old guy in this scenario. I have hopped from one unsatisfying career to another, the same with relationships, I get bored or the girl turns out to be psycho or something (and on my part I have been an AFC).
I finally got sick and tired of unsatisfying jobs that I have no passion for, and have been self employed since last year and I love what I am doing. The money is secondary to lifestyle and doing what I enjoy. However, even though my income is still modest, I am working my tail off and I believe that my income potential is as much as the amount of work I want to put into it. I believe that if I put alot of work into it now I can see myself being much more financially successful in another 5 years (finally). I just hope that by that time it isn't too late to also find a quality woman.
One more thing- I am not saying I want a gold digger, I do not, but I don't think a woman wants an unstable unreliable man either, which I have been in the past. I think even non gold digger women have this Darwinistic subconscious tendancy to want someone who is successful, they want their offspring to be brought up well, and this is in the back of their mind even for casual relationships.

Channel your excited feelings into positive thoughts and behaviors. You will attract women by being enthusiastic, radiating energy, and becoming someone who is fun to be around.

You did say 25 year old to 30 year old women. Success with women is a vague idea though. I theorise that the 30 year old on 50K. Women don't all want a guy who is 15 years older than them. But most would be happy with someone up to 5 years older. They don't want someone who has absolutely no money, because he can't maintain any lifestyle for himself let alone her.

How would the 40 year old go about showing off his great body, walk around with a tight shirt on all the time? Its pretty hard to tell what someone's body is like when they are wearing off the rack standard men's clothing.

How would the 40 year old get to show off his rapier wit, if he's already been downgraded on age before he opens his mouth. How would he stylishly communicate the fact that he makes $300K (hopefully he invests most of it).

Your age, like your looks is pretty obvious straight off, and needs no elaboration.

He said ALL THINGS being EQUAL.

A 30 year old without an income is disqualified...unless we are talking about 25-30 year old trailer trash women.

If we are talking about PROFESSIONAL/GOOD LOOKING/ HB-9 or 10/ EDUCATED women in the 25-30 year old range... SUCCESS with them is important.

I know a LOT of 40 years old that look a lot better physically speaking than many 30 years old men. Heck, there are lot of men OVER 40 years that women would pick over men in their 30s.

Let me start by mentioning the Brad Pitts (42), Johny Depp (43), Tom Cruise (43), George Clooney (45). Most women in their late 20s would pick them. Wait, I know...I know...they are rich and famous! Well, to a degree...so is a man that is making OVER $300,000 a year in Salary.

Now...I agree that a 35 year old man that makes 50,000 dollars can also get them. The problem is

1- He has the SAME skills with women (in this example) than the 40 year old man.

2- It is not a huge difference in men between the age of 35 and 40...IF they take care of their bodies and are healthy. In fact whatever difference might be...can be overcome with the $$$. A man that is 40 and makes that much money can afford personal trainers, a personal cook, a very nice wardrope and a very nice car/boat.

Now, in the end comes down to who has BETTER skills with women. But the problem is...all three of them have the same skills.

As women get older, income becomes much, much more important to them in general. Almost all the reasonably hot women over 40 on dating sites won't even consider a fellow who makes less than 75K a year... though many such guys don't have the time to enjoy it, at least not in the USA...

A person that makes over 75K+ a year can actually enjoy it. Now, I understand if he is making $150K+ or something like that.
