It also said the Florida ST football team drinks Chocolate milk instead of Gatorade and water...WTF. Last thing I would want after playing football in the heat for 3 hrs is a glass of chocolate milk....BARF

Gimmie all the water and gatorade please

This study brought to you by Heineken.
Heineken, brewed in Holland not the stuff brewed domestically, is damn nice.

I'm on the chocolate milk bandwagon after a hard workout, protein and just enough carbs and fat for proper recovery. Gatorade just has the carbs from sugars that make you crash afterwards.

You don't want fat right after a workout, francisco. Carbs and protein is what you need, b/c carbs are fast acting.

milk is garbage anyway, i'd rather drink sewage.

Yup, Choclate milk = Endurox

They both have this 4 CHO to 1 PROTEIN Ratio optimal for recovery.

The gatorade is 'good' for the muscle, but not the brain due the decrease of blood glucose, due to increased blood glucose uptake (driven by insulin) into the muscle.

What do you think of coconut water during and after workouts?
I've read this is one of the best things you can drink after working out to replace fluids. I've also heard it could be used as an IV and in some third worls countries they actually use it for that.

Demon! Long time no hear... Here's something though, Hammer's Recoverite tastes much better than R4 and it's much lighter on the stomach. If you get a chance, try Recoverite post rides and Heed during.

Same here. I do 2% milk mixed with DARK choc syrup

Sometimes I do 1/4C of CFM Isolate in there too. And Ryan69, I know exactly what study you are taking about.

And BluEyes... Dont worry about the fat, that's not that much. Only 5g in 2%. Not much really. Now if you down 1Tbsp of olive or canola oil that's a different story.
