Me and my friend are Freshman, I'm 15 years old and he is turning 16 years old in a few weeks. This girl is a Junior, with a boyfriend and is considered by everyone that knows her to be the hottest girl in our school. She's gorgeous, like model quality. Although she's ****y and knows she's hot she is really nice. One day she came up to my friend and gave him a hug in the hallway. Then a few days later my friend, and my other friend were all in her car talking and hanging out with her (which it is really cool of her to even be hanging out with Freshman), my friend asked for her number and she was really hesitant to give it to him but eventually gave in. Then she gave my other friend a ride home (she's friends with his older sister) and she gave me a ride home and she didn't even know me. After she dropped my friend off she told me to move up to the front seat. Even though she didn't know me she was talking to me like we were good friends. She asked me about my girlfriend, etc. My friend called her right in the middle of the ride and we talked about it, she was shocked that he called and thought it was a joke. She was like "I can't believe he just did that, is he kidding". She seemed totally uninterested in him and I said "Give him a chance, one date can't hurt you". When she realized I was serious and wasn't going to make fun of my friend she got serious and said "I could never go out with him, I'm best friends with [some kid that really doesn't like my friend]". She dropped me off at my house and I said "Thank you". Now that was like a month ago, today my friend called her to try to get me a ride home and she was like "I would but my cars getting repaired right now", then my friend started talking to her and was like "What you doing this weekend? Maybe we should get together and do something", this girl is quite popular so she does have a lot of stuff to do. She works at a grocery store and she said, that she had to work on Friday and Saturday. So my friend said maybe some other time and she seemed to agree. What do you think of this situation, and do you think she is trying to avoid him?

seriously, what do you think?

i bet people are going to attempt to say what other people would say ("if she was interested she'll make time")... no need to even say it or give you any advice.

if you gave this a thought, there wouldn't be any need to make a thread.

I remember when I was a freshman gawking at all the girls older than me...

You know how many girls that went for younger guys in my grade? Like 6. I was one of them. You know how many of the 6 were attractive? 1. You know how many guys in total went out with girls 2 years older? 1. She was the ugliest thing you ever saw.

Story of the moral: YOU HAVE ZERO CHANCE! GIVE UP! SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU! SHE ISN'T GOING TO **** SOME KID 2 YEARS YOUNGER THAN HER IF SHE CAN **** SOMEONE WHO'S ALREADY GROWING FACIAL HAIR. Sorry. When you're a Junior soon to be Senior, you'll understand how silly Freshman look.

I have to ditto Bling's message - don't even bother. I know many guys in your situation, from when I was around your age, and hardly do those things work.
Furthermore, you did not even play the game right. You should have been a bit more ****y and funny when around her, it seems like you praise this girl... which doesn't help your situation at all - you want a girl to chase after you, not the other way around. You need to be a man, and it is hard to be a man when you are going out or trying to pick up a girl that is older than you, you look ridiculous and the most she will think of you as is, "cute" or "sweet", or even worse, she will think you are joking.
Drop it, find a hot girl your age, and if you cannot, you aren't looking in the right places. Many fish in the sea!

and why can't you admit this is you? I wouldn't go on a website to find out if my friend is able to hook up with a girl, so clearly this is you. Don't be afraid of scrutiny.

Because I'm curious about my friends situation, as from the conversation he had with her and the greeting he got from her today in school made it seem to me like he might just have a chance with the hottest girl in the school.

Tell "your friend" to not go for it. From what I've seen, older girls in HS love to shower freshmen w/ attention because "they're cute." Not the good sort of cute, but the bad sort of cute. The, "you're totally non-threatening because you're younger, smaller, and couldn't possibly be sexual" sort of cute.

And, if she "seems to agree" to "some other time..." that's just a real nice rejection. Respect is all.
