Lining up first date. I am double booked on saturday. First date at 6 then suggested date at 8 to another chick. She comes back asking if I want to go to a music festival. I really don't want to go to a music festival. It's free but I don't want to spend hours with a chick I just met. How should I reply?
We could meet for a drink and then go to the festival or I could reply ya I heard about the festival but want to meet you in an atmosphere where we can get to know each other.

Idc if she flakes. I already have a sat date plus loads in the pipeline. Thoughts?

If you don't care if she flakes and you don't want to go to the music festival then just tell her you're not interested in going to the music festival.

Hmm. Congrats on the double-header Dustmuffin. But one day, I would like to see a field report from you for a double-header at the same place, same time. This is how one truly becomes flake proof. And if they both show, even better

Brah, if you don't want to go to the music festival tell her you don't want to go.

"Not feeling like a music festival, how about doing X instead?"

If yr going for the SNL concert could be good. Check she can meet for drinks first and that there will b dancing. If she flakes on drinks kicked to the curb.

Otherwise tell her you've got an early start doing something suitably manly and re-book. My standard excuse is I got got a friend coming round for an early bike ride. If yr getting up early they assume it's a chick ;-)
I took this advice. I said that I had an early morning bike ride and That if she wanted to reschedule we could.......She texted back that she still wants to do drinks she was just throwing it out there. Thanks for the advice uber....It worked.

A date is what you want to do and dungeon your side. That pulls her into your frame right away and she either likes it or doesn't. If a girl counters a date idea, I say no can do.... She's already fighting you for control even before the first date. She should be enjoying your companionship

I knew she was trying to grab frame. I wouldn't have agreed to it. I was just surprised how quickly she jumped back into my frame. I'm still learning.

I'm still a padawan learning too. See how she nonchalantly drops the idea in there to undermine your proposal. more and more interactions and dates with women all I see is more fluff, struggles for power, and undermining.

Uber, from where I remember you to where you are today; how much and how well you have grown as a DJ. I wish more DJs can step up to bat the way you did and make it happen. Good doings pal

For me... If I didn't want to do something I wouldn't do it. You can't control if she flakes or not so you shouldn't care. Whose to say that you agree to go along with the concert that she won't flake on you anyway.

The best advice I can give is to remember dating is supposed to be fun, if it isn't fun then don't do it. If going to a concert is not your idea of a good time then why would you go? Don't let women take you off your center and purpose.
