Hi, myself and a bunch of friends are trying to rent a house, but theres a fair amount of competition for it. Aside from offering a little extra money, how can we make ourselves seem more desirable as tenants.

1) If you live with a BUNCH of friends, you're going to have a BUNCH of personalities and bad habits getting on other peoples' nerves.

2) Renting a house is a waste of money. Buying a house is cheaper

3) Why rent a house with a bunch of people when you could rent an apartment cheaper, and have your own personal space?

Maybe offer the landlord some "in-kind" assistance (i.e., mend a fench, maintain the lawn, trim some trees, etc...). If any of you are gifted in any maintenance areas maybe offer your services to the land lord at a discounted price.
