Hey guys,

I'm in a bit of a jam here, and this site looks like it's got some people that can help. I got dumped by my ex a few months ago and cannot stop thinking about her. We were together for just over a year and it was the best thing I ever had. I think of her almost every day and it's getting in the way of more important things like work. It's like the memory of her is ****ing haunting me or something.

Any advice for moving on?

Go to the gym, and keep busy. Talk to other women...and try to focus on your life.
Other than, there's no magic pill to get over one-itis, you just have to man up and stay tough.

Good luck, and remember it will pass with time.

Oh and if you get those haunting memories, force yourself to think about something else no matter how hard it seems.

Thanks for the advice, but I wish it were that easy. I don't have much free time outside of work and that time is usually spent preparing for when I have to go back to work. I'm living like a ****ing hermit.

nice, keep busy mate, and find someone new, also keep the world spinning around you not them. took me about 3 weeks to get over it, was gonna turn to alcohol for relief but at the end i went to the gym and pump weights and keep my 6 pack alive :) what ever you do DONT LISTEN TO LOVE or SAD MUSIC, do something to bring your mood to another level.

I'm pretty sure my post in the link that Savage posted is more than enough to help you get over your ex. ;)

Hope I helped.

I would go with what most of the guys on this thread advises...

Get on with your life. Find a hobby. Meet other people. However, DON'T be needy!!!

She slept with another dude while she was with me. I later found out and confronted her about it. She was super apologetic, cried, and all that jazz, so I figured everyone is entitled to a **** up and forgave her since everything was good up till then. Bad idea. I was a paranoid ******* after that and she couldn't handle it, so she broke it off.

You know... I messed up big time, but she ****ing tore my heart out. Thanks for the support guys.

lol it was her who cheated on you, she didn't respect you, im going to sound blunt here but eventually you will get over, you have just been hurt and disrespected, these things take time and you need to go through the healing process fully, you can see you were wrong to forgive, remember she is not good enough for you if she slept with another guy you have no done anything wrong, she is the one who made you paranoid and the one who couldnt handle it, healing your wounds takes as long as it needs to take, eventually you will go out and meet more women

1. Self improvement, have a goal, look at your career, do a course, do things for YOU!

2. Make a list of things you DIDN'T like about her.

3. Now picture your dream girl, bet it's not her anymore.
