I noticed a recent thread where this guy was cheating on his wife, and several posters took him to task for it. I find that encouraging, since sometimes morality can be hard to find on PUA forums. But here's my question:

Why is that when posters talk about screwing married women, there doesn't seem to be the same sense of outrage? Is it because if the married woman is a slvt, she's going to be banging somebody anyway?

To me, whether you are cheating on your wife, or if you are having sex with a married (cheating) woman, it's all pretty much the same. Two sides of the same coin, you might say. But a lot of guys here will openly brag about banging some "chump's" wife.

"Seeing someone" and being married are two different things. I don't care to mess with women that are involved in either case. But most women are "seeing someone".

The 'married' thing is way different for me. It's less about 'them' (women are mental and emotional disaster areas) and more about:
- collateral damage and
- too much opportunity to attract non-married women.

Why anyone would choose the complications of married chicks is way beyond me. It reeks of desperation.

Interesting points midnight, I am at the same point with my gf right now just pretty bored sexually so I almost have to sleep with another girl or go to the strip club to keep me sane. Probably need to just end it.

I think monogamy is a terrible concept, married couples for the most part depress the hell out of me. They look so bored and broken, except for the ones who have great chemistry and both have their own lives and keep it exciting.

Can we actually enjoy being with one woman for years on end? Why would we even want that, unless we are raising kids together?

Not everyone has an Ozzie & Harriet 1950's marriage.

There are a lot of married couples with open marriages who are fine with each other "cheating." They tend to keep it a secret, sometimes even from the people they have sex with.

What I was really asking is why married guys get yelled at here for cheating on their wives, but the guys who fvck married women get high fives.

I appreciate the discussion on morality, though.

Maybe it's because the married guy made the decision to get married, so he should honor that decision. While the single guy who's banging married women did not.

One reason for the double standard is the legal notion, "privity," or lack of it. Someone who screws a married person does not stand in privity to any party. They are neither a party to, nor a beneficiary of the marital relationship. Someone who sleeps with someone other than their spouse when such is not mutually agreed to be acceptable is in direct breach of an agreement. In essence, the non married person didn't break their word, the married person did.

This is not an argument that sleeping with a married person is moral, just an explanation of different degrees.

Usually when a guy posts about being with a married women there are several who take them to task. They may be the minority, and it may be that those who disagree aren't prone to participate in the thread.

Married women are totally off-limits to me. How could I do that to a fellow man?

I wouldn't say this is anything new.

From 09-11 or so - I dated almost exclusively taken women (for the lack of attachment reason). Almost any post I made about it was about 40% people flaming me, and 60% people defending me.

Last taken woman i was with was in summer 2012 though. Not really for any morality reason as much as I prefer a little more than casual from women now - and taken women normally can't go to that next level.

Here's a good example of the kind of thread I'm talking about. The girl the guy is smashing isn't married, but she's engaged. Some of the guys do take him to task, but a lot of guys are congratulating him too. It's a recent thread:

Usually if the guy is married, it's a lot more one sided - a clear majority of posters will call him out on it.
