Hi guys,

How many of you guys are on accutane and are successfully bulking right now, or have done it before?

I started my course in June and tried to stick w/ the lifting but just couldn't keep up. Seemed like my muscles took a lot longer to heal and repair themselves.

I think I might wait until my course is over and then start up again, but I really wanted to bulk over the summer when I have some free time.

Bone and muscle problems. Accutane may affect bones, muscles, and ligaments and cause pain in your joints or muscles. Tell your prescriber if you plan vigorous physical activity during treatment with Accutane. Tell your prescriber if you develop pain, particularly back pain or joint pain. There are reports that some patients have had stunted growth after taking Accutane for acne as directed. There are also some reports of broken bones or reduced healing of broken bones after taking Accutane for acne as directed. No one knows if taking Accutane for acne will affect your bones. If you have a broken bone, tell your provider that you are taking Accutane. Muscle weakness with or without pain can be a sign of serious muscle damage. If this happens, stop taking Accutane and call your prescriber right away.

Thanks for the link diablo. I was only lifting on accutane for 2 weeks or so, and I haven't really noticed any extended muscle weakness so I'm probably fine.

I will put lifting on hold for a little while.

snintel, I'd much rather go through with the accutane than have the acne. I've tried everything on the block for acne, and accutane is the only thing that's ever worked.

i've done a full course of accutane..
had about a year off
acne returned.

i'm on my second course of accutane, and i'm lifting.

i have no issues.

i don't think its caused any permanent side effects (i was 100% back to normal when i was off accutane) and right now i'm almost finished my 2nd course, and all i've got is dry lips, lip balm, the magic cure. and dry skin, moisturiser, how did i live without you before?

its not that bad of a drug.
