On Sunday I'm going to a brunch in honor of one of my politician friends, and I'm considering inviting a certain girl. However, she may not realize I'm asking for a date unless I make it painfully explicit, since she has recently been hired by my organization and may view it as just another of these events we have to send representatives to in order to make sure we have good standing in the community. It's important for her to know that is what I'm asking for because
1) I plan to make a move w/o facing sexual harassment charges, and
2) if I don't hurry things a bit I'll face stiff competition from guys more skilled at seduction than I am.
So, do I invite her or find something next weekend that would more clearly be a date?
