Can someone link me to a post about this or simply explain it? I'm an experienced bodybuilder, but have stuck to one complex program for the last few years.

I'm thinking about doing something different, and I was reviewing Diesel's old post. Less than 4 reps too heavy, more than 8 too light.

I don't think I've ever asked: what are the benefits / harms of adding or subtracting weight in your routine? Namely non isolation such as bench, squats, cleans, etc.?

Most of the time when you raise the reps on your sets you go for looks(more definition),lower reps are normally for strength.
