I'm at a loss here.... this entire month ive had stomach problems. My symptoms have been excessive bloating and fullness (for one week I was only eating a can of soup a day, I felt that full) along with ocassional nausea.
These past two days the far right side of my body (along my abdomen, but to the far right, really far away from my stomach... almost around the bottom tip of my lat muscle, an inch or two below my ribcage) has felt tender when I poke down on it.
Other than that I have no pain, for those of you here who lift weights... you know the day after say, a heavy chest workout you poke down on your chest and it feels sore... that's how it feels.
So naturally i'm thinking well that's my gallbladder area so it's gotta be that BUT I just had an abdominal ultrasound and a bloodtest two weeks ago (b/c they suspected gallstones as a possibility) and nothing showed up on any of them.
Taking into consideration that an ultrasound was already done, is there anything you can think of that wouldn't show up on the ultrasound that would give me those symptoms?
The stomach symptoms have gotten better, I can eat 4 meals a day now (as opposed to my usual 6) and the bloating and nausea are a lot less frequent.
What are the odds that the doctor
would miss the gallstones on the ultrasound that was specifically done for that reason? Ive known him for years and he's a great doctor so I doubt it but I don't know what to think.
