A new approach I did

Today I met a girl I actually connected with, I approached in a different way. But here's the story.

I work in the mall, so on my lunch break I went up to the food court. This HB9.5 works at the pizza place there, I ALWAYS see her there, but was too afraid to approach before. So i go to order my food there, except one of the other workers took my order, so I didn't talk to her then. After I get my food, I leave and grab a seat to eat, I kept looking over and seeing her giving me lots of smiles and eye contact. So everytime I caught her looking, I smiled, and finished my meal. After I was done, and got up, I started walking over to her. She gave this "Oh sh!t hes actually coming over" look. At this point, I only had about 2 minutes left on my lunch break, so I had to do this quickly. I walk up to her and say:

Danny: (smiling) I seen you eye flirting with me.
HB9.5: (smiling)Yeah I was, somewhat, you caught me.
HB9.5: Were you eye flirting back?
Danny: No, I was actually coming to confront you about watching me eat.
HB9.5: I'm so sorry! I thought you might have been mad. I'm sorry!

(Wow she actually took me seriously)

Danny: I'm kidding with ya babe, I actually enjoyed it, the food that is. But let me tell ya, I got like 2 minutes left on my lunch break, So why don't u pull out a napkin and write ur number on it, then we'll continue this conversation later.
HB9.5: Awsome! I get off work at 9:30 so you can call me after that.
Danny: Well, I'll call you when I get off work.

(She hands me the napkin)

HB9.5: Oh wait! let me right my name on there too!

(I hand her BACK the napkin)

Danny: (smiling) Geez ur holding me up, I'm gonna get in trouble cause of you!

(I throw in a smile this time during this joke, to make sure she knows I'm kidding this time.)

HB9.5: (laughing) Hey shutup!

(Great she caught onto my sarcasm finally)

Anyway, I get the name and number, and I finish my day at work. I call her at like 11 tonight. And I nailed the conversation! At the very beginning of her conversation on the phone, she said "I have to talk to you a few times first before we decide to go out together."

Of course I knew that I had to make her feel comfortable before she would want to spend time alone with me. So I worked my best on that during our conversation to make her feel better about it. And sure enough, no more than 15 minutes later she was saying "Sure, I'd love to go out with you this weekend." So the comfort level must have skyrocketed. I even got several compliments out of her, she said I'm hot, and a down to earth guy and she loves it. This is all after one day of conversation. She seems like a good, quality girl. So I'm interested to see where this goes.

Now, my thoughts on this are:
I noticed that by not giving out any information when I approached, saying that I'm in a hurry, and that we'll continue the conversation later, gave me an EXCUSE to call her the first day without seeming like a needy AFC. Plus I had to call her the first day, because since we didn't have much rapport on only a 'one minute' conversation', chances are she wouldn't even remember me after one day.

She also said during our phone conversation that 'Lot's of weird guys hit on her all day' while she works. (So yeah it's true, lots of AFCs still out there) So apparently I must have done it right. She also told me she used to always look at me everytime I came there to eat to see if I was looking back at her. I believe this also gave me an advantage, she said she never thought I was interested in her, because she never seen me looking back. So she already had anticipation for my approach, MONTHS before I even approached.

This really had me thinking, that you never know who might like you. I seriously thought she was way out of my league during my AFC days, and now I think she wants me more than I want her haha. So If I would have never even tryed to approach, I would be left wondering if I could get a girl like that. But now I KNOW! So guys, this is really a tip, to tell you to get out there and approach, because you might get what you thought you would NEVER have.

I posted this in the discussion section, because I still like to get other DJs opinions, and answer questions.

Or even advice to where I should go from here. Just because I did well thus far, it always helps to get tips about where to take it next. Just to make sure I don't go down the wrong path into AFC town again.

I have no idea man, lol. I told her at the end of our phone conversation, that I'll call her back later this week with some plans. Maybe some of you could give me some ideas? I usually don't like the tradional movies/dinner dates. I'd rather go somewhere where we can actually have FUN, like a nice place to take a walk outdoors (at night especially, increases the romantic mood). Or go for something competitive, like a round of mini golf. Those are my ideas, but I'd like to hear more.

You misunderstand, dude. That part of my story was NOT my advice, that was just my theory as to why that worked for me. In meetings like this, it's completely fine to call on the first day. You could of pulled a Brent and asked if she could come over now, when you were on the phone. But I doubt your there yet.

Nice C&F. Must admit. But still, the most impressive thing to me was, not the tactics, not the C&F, and not the time constaints. It's that you were an AFC and risked it all to go over and talk to her. (Even though you already had a suspiscion that she was into you.) Even still, that's a big step. I don't know were exactly you are in terms of success with women, but for a rAFC (If you are) then this can be huge.

And for the date. You can't go wrong with an action date. Putt putt is good. Anything physical is a lot better than sipping coffee and talking face to face. (Which isn't bad either)

Well, I would have never come this far without sosuave. Definitely pay attention to your fellow DJ's, (Some of them) really know what their talking about. I did notice though, there are some people with crazy advice and really have no idea what their talking about. No more than 2 months ago I was a major AFC, but once you get out there and start practicing, you get better FAST. I have probably been averaging about 10 approaches per week, and it still seems, that every approach I do, I STILL learn something new. And yes, I still enjoy coming to sosuave, because it helped me immensely, but I also realize that, sometimes when a guy actually starts to like a girl, that he sometimes takes a wrong turn towards AFCville again. I continue to use sosuave for insurance that this won't happen. So lets get out there and practice!

You're a ****y one, which is good, but try being more FUNNY. Get this through your head. I was explaining that I was an AFC before. And why would you try to make me regret waiting for so long, I actually did the approach, and it still worked out fine. So theres no reason for me to regret it. I don't, my AFC days are behind me now, so I'm not going to ball over those missed opportunities. I'm living in the moment now. I think you have the wrong mindset if anything, I still like my own approach much better.
