Hi guys,

I have a doubt here. I´m a beginner in bulking up and am amazed with it, I feel very motivated.

I am eating 5 meals per day, in all of them there is protein. I hit the gym 5 times a week and work each muscle group twice a week.

Now my real question is about metabolism. I come from losing some 40lb of fat (yes, I´m alive!!!), I have always been a fatty guy. I have to be very careful with sweets because my weight can raise like hell in fat.

However, after 2 weeks with my simple program (there´s a "big" guy I know from the gym that is helping me a lot) I see some results. I even don´t work my left arm biceps and it grows!!! (my left arm is much skinnier because it has an injury, but I can do the workout I´m doing without problems.)

My question is: having a sloooow metabolism, can I work with less weight and more reps and still go on getting big? I feel more comfortable with more reps - less weight, but I would like to know your opinion about its efectiveness. Now I am 5.80 feet tall and I weigh 163.17lb.

Thanks for your opinion!!!

you still need heavy wieght and low reps.

The only difference between ectomorphs vs mesomorphs and endomorphs (skinny ppl versus bulky ppl) is that you can handle more sets later on, and your gains will be faster.

Does it mean that working each muscle group twice a week (or even 3 times) is possible for me???

Thanks for the info!!
