These are some things you should probably stop asking about, because people have been crying about them for centuries.

These are suggestions for people posting here.

Your suggestion will not necessarily be replied to. In fact I haven't seen Allen reply to many suggestions, and people ask a lot of specific questions. PM him if you have a question, like "where did my post go".

New Forums-We have enough forums. I think the only reason we have them broken up is because otherwise we'd have 4 pages of posts a day if it were just 1 forum for everything.

Chat Room-The chat room used to exist. It exists no longer. Allen has decided to leave it down due to a lack of traffic.

Rank System-The rank system is not going to change. It's not a big deal, stop worrying about it. I believe that Allen finds it too insigifigant to change.

Avatars/Images/More Options-This forum is for discussion, not to see who can have the biggest picture in their signature (or text... a certain HS person will remain nameless)

Bible-The DJ Bible was never originally a part of the forum. It was a post, and people simply used it enough to put a link to it on top. It's not Allens creation and he has no obligations towards it. Talk to Neophyte.

Taking a test before you can post-This is ridiculous. There are no EXACT standards of what is right or wrong. The DJ bible, no matter how helpful, is not written in stone and should not be the ultimate say in whether a newbie is a newbie and whether he should be able to post.

User Interface-Don't complain about the colors, look, or anything. It's not meant to be an all-in-one pocket knife, dishwasher included. It's for communication. This is a low priority.

Hey, who should we ask if we want to request a new rank system, and about the usage of avatars?

Oh and I also have a few ideas for a new forum....

Golly-gee-willikers....I wonder if Allen will reply to my post?

Just to restate once again, I read everything in here, usually within hours, as do most of the mods.

However, most suggestions have been made dozens of times before, and were rejected for one reason or another. Once in a while I see something new and I definitely give it some thought. Often we discuss these things in the Mod's Corner.

So keep the suggestions coming. And if you think something is a good idea, be sure to reply to that particular thread saying so. If no one on the forum appears to care about a particular suggestion, then I probably won't either.

Eh, Nocturnal, unless you represent Allen's mind, I don't think you should be setting rules disguised as "suggestions." For one thing, Allen's a great guy and I doubt anything having to do with SoSuave.com is set in stone. If there's something better out there that is brought to his attention, I'm sure he'll give it considerable thought.

Allen will most likely reply to suggestions that are somehow controversial or innovative in approach. As for implementing new ideas... it's up to the boss.

We have different forums for various topics. The possibility of new forums is slim unless some idea becomes a trend and deserves its own forum. The seduction forum is new...

Plenty of us have tried to have DJ chats through various mediums like IRC and JChat, but there's no demand for it. At any one time, there'd be only one person in a JChat, and about two or three people in IRC.

The ranking system is quite stable. It's purely for ego, but I do think some things should change. I doubt any of my ideas would be implemented due to the overwhelming negative response to them... mostly due to the fact that their "Master Don Juan" rank would disappear... awww, how unfortunate for the frauds out there.

Avatars, images, etc. are purely for fun. From my extensive experience, this isn't a fun forum. It's an academic forum for DJism. You learn new ideas, discuss those ideas, and practice them. Aside from the "occasional" political discussion, this place is rather dull.

The DJ Bible was originally part of the forum. A "part of the forum" can be a thread, a post, a signature, etc. Like Nocturnal said, Allen didn't create it, but he did influence its compilation. There's a few of these compilations: the DJ Bible, the High School DJ Bible, and the Book of Shuma Gora.

Nocturnal is right. Testing before you post is retarded.

Eh, the user interface is typical of all forums. It's very rare that you'll come across a truly unique forum interface. This format is actually becoming quite a standard.

which was the point of this thread. there will always be newbies, and most of them will fail to use the search button. thus, there will always be these suggestions coming back. just trying to cut down on some of it and make things a little easier...
